What is the Value of Helping Others?

How do you feel when you get help from someone? What about when you help someone yourself?

Most people would prefer when they sit back and receive all the help instead of giving help themselves. I mean, it's natural to receive help than helping. This morning I helped a guy who seemed to need transport assistance to hospital. I realized he was limping when I stopped the car to pick him. To me it didn't mean much anyway because I was just on my way towards the direction the guy was heading to. He asked me where he could find the hospital and I just opted to drop him there, something he appreciated a lot.

After that I thought about the value and importance of helping others especially here in WA. Sometimes helping others comes naturally while other times it doesn't and so we have to push ourselves around to do it.

What is The Value of Helping Others?

Helping others in Wealthy Affiliate has a lot of value.

1. We Learn as we Help: - Any time I've given help here nomatter how little it may seem, I learn something new. Learning is a long process that involves both formal and informal dimentions. We learn by taking the lessons but more effectively, we learn by putting into practice what we learn. We practice by teaching others what we have already learned.

2. We Gain More Confidence: - Just as we practically take others through what we know, what we have learned becomes more clearer in our minds. A student teacher doesn't just become confident in teaching by reading many books but by practicing his teaching skill. By doing it more and more the skill is sharpened.

3. We Realise The Need Of Others: - No one is an island they say! We all need each other in one way or another. For example, both Kyle and Carson have done a great job in starting WA, a programme that has become a solution and a source information and finances to thousands of people. We all need these great men but they also need each one of us because the program can't run without us. So that is why WA is designed to be a very reliable community and none other like it.

4. We Discover Our Strengths and Weaknesses: - The magic of helping others reaches beyond the help itself. What happens after you are willing to help and you can't because the help isn't in your reach? You discover you have weak points and if you are like me you will do something soonest to make it a strength for next time.

5. We Feel Good: - Ofcourse we do! Isn't it important to feel good about something? When I realised that my help was so needed by the guy I helped in the morning, I felt good that atleast I helped someone. It feels nice to help. I feel good when someone tells me that I was of help here in WA community.

6. We Earn by Helping: - Did you realize that this point has come last in my list? Yes, it's deliberate that i placed it last. This should not come first in your list. Anyone who gives help for the purpose of getting $$$ will never get it. Why are you in online community after all? If solely to help, yes, you will be surprised that money will come in the process of helping. I know this doesn't sound good to some like it didn’t to me at first. When you realise that your goal is to help and not to entirely make money you will not give up even when money won't come in the first year.

As I conclude, WA is the best place to be in terms of getting help. All what you need is found here. It's only in WA University where you will find everyone is a student and a tutor at the same time. It's only in Wealthy Affiliate where you will find the lowest school fees compared to the value of the education. It's only here where you will earn as you learn. WA is the right place to be.
