Writing content that is worth sharing can be challenging. Here a guide you can use to help you write interesting, unique attractive content that is helpful and worth sharing.

Agile: being able to adapt

Being agile as in software development is about delivering in portions. Writing and adapting as we go. Starting off with a well-structured mindset and having some ideas and guesses of what we want to write about.

we must concentrate on the audience we want to attract to our website. We are writing for them, not for ourselves, it is for their benefit. Visitors to our site give feedback one way or another. They may find our content useful and go further or share our posts/articles on social media. The audience determines traffic flow and the success of our business online. So being agile is to adapt.

Example: A starting comedian writes his jokes and tells them in a small venue of like 50 people. The people will laugh at some jokes and some not. The comedian will erase the jokes that did not work and keep the ones that made people laugh. Once he has enough jokes that work, he will go and tell them to a bigger audience of a thousand and more people. After some time he/she will be known as a funny comedian and people will talk about him/her everywhere. It's about using what works.

Authenticity (genuine, unique, original, and real)

Being Authentic is the human behind the content. The person writing the post, the one telling a story not about what they are interested in but for the person reading the story or information. Good content resonates with the reader understanding their needs, what they are looking for, their desire, and their problem. Understanding is the key to being authentic. Delivering unique helpful information and guiding them away from the mass advertisement builds trust.

Example: It’s like selling a perfume that the reader cannot smell. Telling a simple story that intrigues the reader a desire to know more. Describing the scent of the perfume, the different herbs like sandalwood rose, cinnamon, pepper, amber, and so on, then top it with a note of how they will feel when they wear it. A captivating content that is imaginative, informative, helpful, and unique. Being authentic being real.

Attention (About headline, sharing, and fascination)

Without the agile mindset and being authentic, attention will be almost impossible to achieve.

Attention has to be captured and sustained. It goes far beyond getting the content out there and the click. It all starts with a promise you made in the captivating headline. Content that keeps the promise is trustworthy and sharable. Readers who are satisfied with useful and informative content like to talk and share it on social media. They view your writing as a valuable source of information deserving to be shared. sharing increases traffic thus success.

Example: For most social media is a place to build their business but it is also to grow a business. By engaging in conversations, sharing equal interests, views on products, services, and content, We make new connections and bring ongoing traffic to our business. Sharing content and having content shared is building attention, connection, and audience. #share

Competence (being an expert, and knowing what we are talking about)

When people visit our website they get to know us through our writing. Through the content, they determine how they feel about us if we are likable and trustworthy. Are we an expert in what we write? Do we know what we are talking about? There is a difference between writing with authority and writing as a generalizer. An expert offers help, meaningful information. Good content has to offer the reader a solution to their problems or fulfill a desire. Useful and unique content has to leave no gap open for guessing.

Example: You know your material is good once people talk about it and share your content on social media, which means your content is of value and worth sharing.

Action (leads and sales)

All through the post or article, we are calling the reader to take action. All the tips we talked about earlier are worth little if we are not asking the reader to take action. Taking action doesn’t only mean using the service we offer but also sharing our information, posts, and articles. Action leads to a bigger audience and higher conversion.

Example: If you comment on content and share it, others will comment and share your content. If you engage, people will be aware of you, use your service, and share it. How many times have you shared good content? I have shared content many times.

Opportunity

So! your website is up and running. It got index by google and other search engines. You have a good amount of audience and followers on social media. When your content is out there especially on social media, doors are automatically opened to other possibilities. All the work you have put in writing unique content makes you an expert. Social exposure opens the doors. Acceleration is the end game of exposure. It’s the door to new opportunities you have not thought about before.
