Create Backlinks to your Website with Help from Microsoft
As you know, I'm all about SEO and helping the search engines find your WA websites. Many have asked me how to get posts or pages indexed quickly by Google, Yahoo and Bing. I'll say again, they will find you, don't worry! Once you use Google, Yahoo and Bing's respective Webmaster Tools and list your initial Sitemap with them, they will come and check our your website's growth progress regularly.
Build it And They Will Come!
Okay, but if you want to edge past the competition, you will want to concern yourself with both On-Page SEO ... AND.... Off-Page SEO. As you know from your WA training, on-page SEO has to do with your Title tags, keywords, menu navigation, LSI keywords, ALT-image tags and more.
Off-page SEO has to do with "anchor text", variations of same and backlinks. How many backlinks you have that are on other high-ranking, RELEVANT niche websites can be huge for the search engines. This shows the search engines that your unique, engaging and informative content (pages or posts) are creating a "buzz" on the internet.
This is why our training talks about social media marketing and other online marketing tactics that can be classified as off-page SEO.
Well, in this same vein, Microsoft has developed a new application as an add-on to their famous Microsoft Windows 10. This new app is known as Sway.
Sway is a collaborative environment for reports, videos, articles and other media that has a bit of a social flair to it. The important thing to note here is that it's open to the search engine crawlers and will read your anchor text!! And, it's backed by Microsoft! Many companies and webmasters are already jumping onboard in anticipation of the future ranking of sway.com and docs.com.
So, I created a "Sway" and then published my sway link to docs.com
What is Docs.com ??
Here are Microsoft's words:
"Docs.com, an online showroom where you can publish and collect all types of Office content and anything from the web. It’s an open platform, so it’s easy for others to discover what interests you. Here are the top three reasons why you should try Docs.com."
So, now I have links on sway.com AND Docs.com mentioning my WA review page.
I was able to Join Sway for free with my Microsoft account (also free to setup). And, Sway is very intuitive and has some pretty easy drag-n-drop features. If you can stumble around Wordpress, I'm sure you'll have no trouble setting up YOUR first Sway.
Share our your sway and ensure the "Sharing to all" switch is on. (Upper right corner of the image above.)Then, you can also choose to Publish out to Docs.com and share that link as well:
You can create documents (MS Office) and upload into both Sway and Docs.com. Again, be sure to make then unique, engaging and media rich! Also, when you create your Microsoft profile, don't forget to put your link in your profile like mine above. Then, share them both out to your favorite social media sites!
Next up, I'll show you how to do this with another major high ranking location!
Go for it!
Cheers,
Peej

Awesome info,i'll have to let by brain catch up and let it smolder for a while. Thanks Peej Marty
You guys are all awesome with you information, however, I think my brain is in over load. You Start talking backlinks, anchor text ????
LOL! Thank you, Suzy! I'll explain anchor text soon, but I'm sure there's already a doc on it in WA somewhere. Use the search option if you wish. Or, just take some aspirin. ;-)
Probably just take the aspirin.lol. This old senior citizen brain, takes time to absorb computer geek lingo. I can run circles around a lot of people using programs, but this is more techno stuff. I'll just take it slow an easy.
