Oh..... My..... Goodness! Remember as a kid when your mom took you into a store and said "look, but don't touch"? And, remember how it made it that much harder to keep your hands off? Yeah. That's the level of frustration right now.

I so want to earn money with my website, so want to be writing content and summer break happened. LOL. I am loving this time with my boys and they start school in less than a week (their little sister and I will really miss them) but I have been able to stop by on WA to see what others are doing and just when I dare to touch the keyboard to respond to a blog post or question or dare I say write an article for my own site it happens... MAWM!!!! not just mom, but you know the "I need something" or the " I want to...." or "will you" or he is touching me or looking at me whiny MAWM........ so rather than force the presence on WA and being frustrated with them, I opted for another vacation at the beach, with a trip to the zoo and playing with them while I had the chance.. so WA has been a look but don't touch thing for the last two weeks......... making me nuts!?!?!? It feels like I set myself back a year of possible income with the lack of presence for two weeks - I am sure in a few months when I am back writing two or three articles a week and things are back to the normal schedule I will be thankful I took time off to be with my kiddos, but for now... WOW.... even though writing for my site has not happened, this moment is the most I have written for anything, anywhere and it kinda feels nice.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a good summer so far.... I am enjoying my kids which I am thankful for that time - sad that our fire is now up to over 30,000 acres and my beaufiful mountain is being ruined. spent my entire life up there, but hey, my kids are safe, my home is standing and my AC is working.... with coffee in hand what more could I ask for on a friday morning?! So enjoy the last bit of summer and have a great weekend everyone - and I will be back to work as usual sometime next week!

Hey Corey,
I understand that feeling because my granddaughter starts school next Tuesday.

Tried and True

Elaine

I am exactly where you are. All summer I could only get 1 post done a week and the rest of the time my son is asking what time are we going swimming, when is lunch, etc. He goes back to school in 2 weeks, and I will feel like someone is missing from my life until I get used to it again. We are on a big push right now trying to do anything we didn't get done already. Then back to work.

My daughter is married and is at school for her PhD in English.
I asked my wife to put Lynn back into her stomach and we start all over again.

Your kids yelling at the top of their lungs, "MAWM! So and so is putting peanuts in my ears!!!!"

Y'know that is music to my ears! I can only relive the memories of the craziness while raising my daughter. I cannot tell you to love of daily dramas but looking back for me I love it now! lols!

Thanks for posting that wonderful experience. I am laughing with you my dear friend.

frank =)

They're only small for a little while. Enjoy them while you can.

Family is very important to everyone.

One day you will turn around and your little ones will rather be with their friends, so glad you are taking advantage of time spent with them while you can. It flies by so fast!

What a shame Corey. I'bet there were a lot of beautiful pink thistles on that mountain. They do like to grow in burned areas though!

As the saying goes, a woman's work is never done.
