"Baby Boomers"
In my marketing career, way back when I was still working for a "boss", I remember that there was a smart guy, somewhere in the world who decide to "tag" all the generations that was still alive and well.
I was "tagged" as a "Baby Boomer".... reason being that I was born between certain years, I can't even remember the years. Why did they call us "Baby boomers"? I supposed that during that time people were used to have a lot of children.... I was one of six children for instance.
Why was this important then? Because we were a huge generation and from a marketing perspective they realised that if you want to make big money, you should find out what will be the next thing that these "Baby boomers" need and offer it to them. The logic was to keep in front of this "Baby boomer" generation and you will always be on the right trend.
Meaning that... when these generation hits their twenties, there will be a huge need for baby clothes, carry cots, napies, family cars, because these generation will start to get children... then a few years down the line there will be a big boom for toys.... then when they start hitting the 30's they will need housing, insurance, bigger family car, vacuum cleaners, etc.
You must remember... on much more than one occation we were "pioneers" and we paved most of the roads for the next generation as far as technology is concern.
The question is... what's the next thing for "Baby boomers"? I know what you're thinking.... "old age homes", "funeral cover", "chronic medication cover", etc. (Lol)
No my dear friends.... these "Baby boomers" are a tough lot and we are not done yet... we are now on making MEGA money online.... we are doing blogging and whatever it will take.
If you want to be part of the next trend of the "Baby boomers".... offer us opportunities to help other people and to make money online. "GO BABY BOOMERS"!

NIce one Piet, I am part of the “Baby Boomer,” generation and trying to keep busy in retirement is one of my obsessions. Making fun money is a side line, but definitely on the list.
Great take on Baby Boomers. I agree that we are the generation that is hanging in and doing unbelievable things, like making money online and blogging.
