College Football - Hands-Down, Drop-The-Mic, Best Game
College football is THE hands-down, drop-the-mic, best game to follow! College football makes and gives more vitality out of players, guides, and without a doubt fans than any other American game. The vitality involved in a College football on Saturdays is simply on another level and can't be replicated by any other game. Let's explore why College football is better than other College sport (or much other professional games).
Nostalgia
Walk a College grounds the week preceding an major game and it's what everybody is talking about. There is a certain nostalgia noticeable all around - as each fan acknowledges they will pour a large extent of their energy into Saturday celebrations and will support their team regardless of winning outcome.
The Half-time Game
If you've ever been blessed with attending a football game, you'll never get over the half-time marching band and cheering squad. A game within a game! The marching band and cheering squad are the epitome of artistic athleticism. These "players" train, not only like the pros, but also compete like champions. The showmanship is both alluring and magnetic. Epic!
Allegiance
Allegiance to a particular team may run for a long time in a family. I will always have a soft spot for the North Carolina A&T, affectionately called the "Aggies" - where my cousin (3rd cousin - don't ask me to calculate the # of generations) attended. For some, whether or not you move between States or stay in the same old neighborhood - you have significant affinity and pull for your team. Not to mention the extraordinary affection experienced by those who attended the College. An Alma Mater has a lasting pull for a very long time and is unlikely to change their life-formed rituals each fall.
"The Heisman"
The Heisman Memorial Trophy (commonly known as the Heisman Trophy or affectionately "The Heisman"), is traditionally awarded to the most outstanding player in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) football league every year. Winners of this trophy embody incredible ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work. It is presented by the Heisman Trophy Trust in early December before the postseason bowl games. This year will likely be an exception due to the cancellation of the fall season.
Cash Endorsements
Ahem. (*Cough*) No. Not here! There’s no multi-year cash-outs to big shots (nope - that's left for the next league - if they progress). These players do not make a dime out there. So, it is quite understandable when fans demonstrate greater enthusiasm towards these young players, because they’re laying it on the line day in, day out, simply for the love of the game and their Alma Mater.
These are only a fraction of the reasons why I figure College football is a noteworthy game. Some might even go as far as saying that the greatest aspect of College football dwells in the honor and a name etched forever.
What do you say?
Peace be the journey!

Although I don't watch or understand football, I will not be one of those who say "What are you looking at that for? or "I hate this or that, etc." Instead I will say if seeing it gives you pleasure &/or excites you in a possible way, then do it to it! It doesn't matter what others think, it's what YOU think!
Thanks for this, Luvly. I can almost hear the crowds, smell the popcorn and see people cheering riveted to their seats. Love that atmosphere. Very well written, full of life and vivid pictures. Great job. Have a wonderful weekend

Hi Luvly,
I remember the last college game I attended was back in the '60s when the #1 ranked team in the U.S. played the #2 ranked team in the United States. This was not a Bowl Game or modern championship game like we have (or had) today, but it just part of the regular season schedule.
Although I have lost a lot of interest in American football, it was an exciting time and game that I think about today. The band came on the field with just the drum section clicking of drum sticks against the sides of the drum. Once in position, they exploded with a noise (extremely fast paced beat) that problay could be hard blockes away. The rest of the band marched on to the field playing the home teams fight song..
It was a day for upsets as the #2 team (Minnesota) beat the #1 team (Iowa) quite handly. I think that was Minnesota's last good team. That day was one to remember.
Thanks for sharing.
