Being a Champion. How Did Muhammad Ali Do It?
Muhammad Ali Was Right!
We win the game long before we step into the ring. Muhammad Ali is one of the undisputed boxing greats and world champions. He has been attributed to the famous quote “…we win the game long before we step into the ring.”
His actions give us access to how to win before getting into the ring. And as flamboyant as Ali was, he contributed his wins to mostly what was accomplished behind the scenes far away from the piercing eyes of witnesses…
behind the lines,
in the gym,
and out on the road,
long before he performed his “fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee” dance
under those lights.
The relevance of Ali’s quote goes far beyond the sporting arena and stretches across many areas of our lives.
What builds the solid foundation under our ability to become champions and reach the heights that we wish to achieve include all the books we have read, the planning we undertake, the training and learning we do outside the spotlight.
When you master that, then you get to be the champion you want to be…and to live your life by design.
Peace be the journey!

While I'm not a boxing fan, he was one of the greats. It's not only physical but mental that wins.
