Hi Phill it can be easy to fixate on the appearance of your site. Initially the best path can be to concentrate on creating content.

As you progress you will find that the aesthetics of your site will evolve.

Blogging and word press go together like peas in a pod.

When you look at other content management systems, they do have specific skill set requirements.

The best bet would be to follow the training here in WA. Most themes offer customisation, and by adding a page builder you can add to that.

I have not heard of it Phill,
Although you should not lose your content, it is advisable to have a back up of your content.
There is plenty of training on this, just to the right of the WA logo on the top left of your screen.
