Create Landing Pages for Your Affiliate Products

Some folk include their affiliate links inside their blog posts, but it's far better to create a separate landing page for each product you are going to promote.

Your landing page should pre-sell the product, not regurgitate information that's already available from the vendor's website.

If you can tell stories that illustrate how the product has benefited other customers in the past or eased their pain, you will increase enormously the chance that your visitor will click on your affiliate link. The most effective affiliate link is text or a button that reads "Find out more...".

One of the advantages of a landing page that is your single entry point to your vendor's website is that you can continually improve it.

And this, of course, should include split testing, where you make one change at a time and measure the effect.

Once you have a landing page for a particular product in place, you can write a series of informative blog posts about the issue that the product solves and include links to the landing page within the post. These are internal links and are much better for SEO than external affiliate links.

Thank you.
This was very reassuring to read. I have previously read about setting up landing pages with affiliate links for each product to promote.

However, I have been so hesitant on setting up some landing pages with products through certain vendors because there are just so many "Don'ts" with their products.

Definitely going to start giving this a whirl one product at a time and go from there.

Thanks again

Sounds like a good plan, Pamela.

Hi Phill, where is your thrive affiliate link? :P

I agree with you, I've been preaching that "since the beginning"... I even (recently" made a video tutorial on creating landing pages using only the block editor.

Tons of benefits...
Better engagement
You can link it from several pages because its an internal link
You can build landing pages for all the products you want..
You can also make them non-indexed and fill them with 372 affiliate links if you want...

So having landing pages on your site... is a MUST!

I hope you are better!

Cheers
Pedro

I did not link to the training in respect to Phill.

You can go though my profile

Apologies, that is what I meant, that I would check out your training by going through your profile. I did not expect you to link anything here :)

Thanks, Pedro. These are all excellent thoughts that add value to my original post.

I can't give you that affiliate link here as it would break WA's rules.

You might be able to find it in the appropriate website listed on my profile.

Thanks for asking :-)

curious how you "implement" the landing page for an affiliated product. meaning does the "reader/searcher" (for lack of better terms) get to that page first? or do they get to your site via SEO, then click a link ("Find out more...".) in a post that takes you to the landing page promoting the product?

4

It's called a "landing page" because you want your visitors to land on it.

This can happen through a blog post linked to it, that gets ranked in the search engines.

Or through PPC advertising or an email sent to prospects.

Or through your own opt-in offer.
