Hi guys,
just seeing whether anyone is using the breadcrumbs feature and if so, how do you like it?
Cheers
Hi Petra, I tried the breadcrumbs feature some time ago but kept running into error messages. I decided to delete the feature. I think Dale has a great response.
All the best,
Michael
Just depends on how you organise your content. On some sites it's helpful, some sites it's not.
In terms of "liking it", I guess I like having the option to use it. It's a good feature.

Hi guys,
I've got a website listed for auction on Flippa . I've got a few bids but not up to the reserve price, but I've had someone offer to buy it at reserve price. Thi
It's up to you, Petra, but I would advise against it, unless it is inside the Flippa platform, I had someone willing to pay a LOT more than I was asking for a domain, but they wanted to do it outside of Flippa! I wrote a small series on my experience attempting to sell a domain on Flippa!
You can read one of them here: My Domain Is Listed For Sale (by Auction) on Flippa! Best success!
Jeff
Hi Jeff, Yes, I read your article. Lots of things have changed since then. The listing itself is much more straightforward, but it feels like a mine field out there!
I've had good offers, all within Flippa, but still unsure.
Thanks
Ah, Thanks, Petra! I might have to check it out again! I hope you can successfully negotiate the minefield, my friend!
Jeff
Hi
Whatever you decide don't run a transaction outside the platform, check their details carefully and use Flippa's escrow service so that you do NOT get scammed. Escrow services typically charge a fee.
If in doubt for any reason, do not run the transaction.
Thanks, yeah I think the only option is through Flippa's Escrow service, but just the fact that this person only signed up and wants to get a quick sale is a bit odd... And wants to do migration themselves
I would be wary too, however I'd follow up on Flippa's Help Center documentation and read up the small print to learn more.

Hi guys, who here has experience in selling their website? Where is a good place to start and what do I have to keep in mind?
Petra,
Here is something I wrote about when I attempted to sell a domain! They also handle websites and other businesses, it might be of some use to you! My Domain Is Listed For Sale (by Auction) on Flippa! Jeff
Hey Petra,
You may find the following video helpful: How To Sell A Website Hope this helps you.
Hi, you can try flippa, sedo, go daddy and uniregistry marketplaces.
Go daddy valuation tool can give a rough guestimate , however it always ends up how much a buyer / bidder is willing to pay for it.

Just trying to keep up-to-date with cookie and privacy policy. What are the current laws/rules?
TIA
Just make sure that your cookie notification pop-up doesn't prevent someone from coming on your site even if they didn't accept the cookies. You can't stop someone from viewing your site without agreeing, as that would not be GDPR compliant.
Which cookie plugin do you use? I need something the cookie notice is shown in a box style rather a bar on top or bottom of the post.
I use the Cookie Notice from dfactory to inform my users that my site uses cookies and helps comply with the EU GDPR cookie law and CCPA regulations. You can set it to show as a bar or as a pop up box.
Looks like Luc is using exactly what you need... there are many plugins that do the same job, do a search in the plugins section then choose one that has good reviews.
You can always change it at any time too.
Martin
Sorry, the cookie notice is appeared as a banner in bottom, l don’t know is the setting is correct. Can help me to check, l have attached the screenshot of setting for your perusal.
Thank you in advance.
Hi Chris, seems this plugin does not have a pop up option afterall , had to check myself. My apologies for setting you on the wrong track. Finding one that does have pop up is not that easy either. Sofar did not find one. Sorry!
Luc has suggested a good plugin, it's important they're updated and are compatible with the version of WP you're using.
I found a plugin - LuckWP cookie that displays in a box style rather than a bar. It's quite handy in use.
Chris
Hi Petra,
Here we have a template for the privacy Policy you can use, you find it via websites -- Sitecontent -- templates , only need to fill in your websites name.
Cookie notice is a plugin that you use and is up to date.
All the best,
Luc
Yeah I know, thanks. I was just trying to figure out whether the rules etc are still the same.
Hi Petra! Your website's Privacy Policy has to be located in an easy to find location. The easiest way to achieve this is to post a link to your site's Privacy Policy on the home page. The GDPR has made it a must for businesses to be transparent about the cookies they install and what info they track. That is why we need an honest Cookie Policy. You can also include data about cookies in your Privacy Policy so you do not need to create separate Cookies Policy. Cheers!
*GDPR stands for the General Data Protection Regulation
