What a Slow Pokey Day!
Believe it or not I got a LOT done today. I finally posted a new article on my website (after my LONG dry spell!), and I got some paperwork in the mail for Mom's insurance claims. I also finished writing thank-you notes and got those mailed. I have to be a little proud of my efforts to be productive today because it really wasn't easy.
Was it just me, or were the servers at WA extra slow to load today? When I would try to follow up an email notification about a new blog or a comment on my profile, it seemed to take forever to load. Just now as I was reading over some entries on my website, the pages would load halfway and then there would be along pause before the rest of the page would load. I sure hope this is just a temporary (routine maintenance) thing! My pages usually load very quickly.
Maybe my burst of Monday energy was just too much for the system to handle. After all, I've been a slow poke to get back to work! I think maybe I took the servers by surprise today! HA!

I think the whole internet was slow. My husband was trying to something and he was not happy on the slowness. So I don't think it was just WA.
You may be right. Now that I think of it, my email server was slow, too. Perhaps the holiday yesterday had something to do with it. Kids home from school on the computer much of the day? That would make for a cyber traffic jam.

Mine was slow too, but Google + has been even slower. I was ready to defrag my laptop. Good to know I'm not alone!!
Glad you got a lot done. I had similar problems with loading at WA and even typing comments, it took forever for the letters to appear, but I thought it was my computer. At one point I even lost a comment after I pressed the 'Add Comment' button. It's been doing this on and off for a few days now, so much so that even scrolling up or down becomes a major hassle. But, as I say, I thought it was something to do with my computer or browser.

Pat, congratulations on your site, very nicely done. I've read every article. I usually read once quickly and then reread at a leisurely pace (that's just how I am) - not with your site. The material is easy to absorb, there aren't any hiccups and they writing is just enjoyable.
I left your blog wanting to buy a Bible, giving thanks that I don't have to haul books anymore and grateful for my Kindle. I was reminded of these past holidays how I spent them alone, especially Thanksgiving. A little wiser now about Halloween. I had also forgotten about the Government shut down, that was worrisome.
It really is an excellent blog.

No...no....no....No plumbing apprenticeship for you! Stop putting yourself and your skills down! You have a fun way with words, and you can do this! Stop comparing yourself with other people. Each person is different.....different strengths.....different weaknesses. We can each learn from the other! Now...have you picked a theme yet...or do I need to pick one for you?
