Super Affiliate Challenge 2019 - Top 200 and the Man-Flu

Hey guys,

So, it is a brisk, windy Wednesday morning here in the land down under and I am turning on my laptop for the first time in 4 days after suffering what can only be described as the worst man-flu that any man has ever suffered - I mean, scientists should have been lined up at the door to do tests on me it was that bad...

Anyway, whilst I lay on the couch binge watching Jessica Jones and The Blacklist on Netflix I was occasionally flicking through my WA emails on my phone and answering some questions (until I got dizzy anyway - man-flu will do that!). My wife saw me doing it and, in between her astonishment that someone could suffer such a catastrophic man-flu and still function, told me that my body is telling me to take a break - so TAKE A BREAK!!.

"But I Just got into the top 200!" I exclaimed, before coughing uncontrollably - seriously where are those scientists?.. "Cool" she said... and wandered off to do whatever it is she does when I am out of action (and definitely not annoying her). But it got me thinking...

Top 200

Now, granted that at my current ranking I am probably only one unanswered question away from dropping out of the top 200 again but I like the fact that I am there. The WA rankings are something that whilst I admit I take notice of, I have not tried overly hard to improve them over my time here at WA - simply because I used to think that looking after that would take away from me actually doing work on my site and posting blogs.

I also raised and eyeborw when as part of the Super Affiliate Challenge (S.A.C.) we were asked to answer questions, write WA posts, be on chat and comments. I admit, I wondered what advantage that could give me?

But you know what? The involvement within the WA community has actually taught me so much. Just by taking notice of the questions asked and the chat, I have been constantly learning new things - many of them those little intangibles that you do not get in the mainstream training here or elsewhere.

So now, and of course this is nothing new to many of you, I have a sneaking suspicion that there is method behind the madness (my perceived madness anyway) when we are asked to do those little extra tasks as part of the S.A.C.

The Man-Flu

My body has a knack of telling me off occasionally - and last week, it was giving me all of the signs. You see we run two businesses in the bricks and mortar world and I have been going hard at the S.A.C. and my website. I was doing all the work but my body was starting to 'niggle' at me and I even mentioned to Nic that I might try and take a day off this week.

Did I? No... Did my body then effectively shut down and make me rest?

Yes, yes it did!

S.A.C advice #1 - Listen to your body. Eat right, exercise and time block some time to play and rest. Trust me - you do not want this man-flu!!

S.A.C Progress month 2

In spite of the carnage that my body has been inflicted with - I can happily report that I can tick every box in the month 2 requirements with a little caveat on two of them... Writing weekly blog posts to WA and giving at least 30 comments in the Site Comments area.

These two I have struggled to keep up with. I promise to try harder there. But the others are on track!

Training and mentoring

I am going to finish today with a question. Are you accessing training at every opportunity? This has been the biggest influence on me meeting my goals for the first two months. I recently took the business decision to get some one on one training/mentoring for my site. And it has been Priceless.

If you have some funds available, I can't recommend this highly enough - The amount of time it has saved me is worth it 10 times over. If you cannot afford it, then S.A.C advice #2 - make sure you are not only following all of the training here within WA, but also any other external stuff you can find. Answer questions within this platform, get involved in chat - trust me - it will move you forward so much faster than you could imagine.

Anyway, I have some work to catch up on so until next time (hopefully next week).

Have fun

Paul

Oh, and in terms of accountability - my overall goal - to make $1,000,000 from affiliate marketing and online business processes by May 1, 2025.

Congrats Paul. Despite you having the man flu you got a sense if humour and that's a great attribute to have.
Also, reading your post, I believe I have picked up a few important points that will be very useful in assisting me with my business.
Great going! Wishing you Much success.

It's been a very bad flu season here this year. Look after yourself.

Sorry to hear that Paul, hope you are on way to feeling better.
Gloomy on Gold Coast today as well.
Darren :)

Thanks Darren

Beautiful on the Coffs Coast today (Sunday) but has bee raining and cold all week...

Fine up here today, but going down hill again tomorrow.
Darren :)

Congrats on the top 200...and I hope you feel better now that you have down for the count the last 4 days.

I wish you the best on achieving the $1,000,000 mark sooner than you plan.

Bob M

Thanks Bob - that's the plan - will resivist yearly I think

Get well soon, and get to working on that goal! I think six years might just be long enough to do it.

Well done on making the top 200
I hope you get better soon.
Jim

I hope you get feeling better soon. Congrats on your SAC progress and on making the top 200. Well done.

Thanks for Posting Paul

Yes indeed, your body needs rest & often the Man Flu is the way it strikes to ensure you have what is required.
I totally know how you feel & it is NOT at all good. Take a break - your body will reinvigorate you in a short time.

You will come back with a new purpose to fulfill your plan.

Denis

PS: Great Goal $1 million by May 1, 2025
I hope you mean $US - as the Aussie is not worth much - LOL

Haha yeah Denis - we did discuss that and realised that AUD$1000000 is currently only about $650000 odd USD so we made it $USD1000000...

Paul,

Thank you for that detailed update, we are rooting for you and for your being able to juggle all that you do.

Really sorry for your recent bout and surely you will need to weigh in all of your efforts to achieve that perfect balance.

Wishing you continued success in all you do.

Blessings!

Great advice about the S.A C! I enjoy reading blog posts and commenting on them, but once I am blogging daily I will have to actually "schedule" it in as I don't want it to take up ALL of my time.
I hope you have recovered nicely from your man-flu!
