Annddd we are shut.
So, as is happening around the world, in reaction to the spread of COVID-19 the Governments here in Australian have started shutting down non essential services meaning it is curtains for our Pilates studio. I mean I consider it essential but others not so much haha...
I am all for public safety and will absolutely comply with every direction given (sadly many haven't) but it is a surreal feeling being told that you can not open the doors to your business through no real fault of your own. This is something that is taken for granted - you get up, you open the doors and people come in... That is now gone. I liken here I guess to someone shutting down your website and saying "see you in 6 months"...
It will be temporary as luckily we had some forethought (and a great accountant) who prepared us for this so we are ok for 6 months. Personally we will hurt a little but we have our health and I have my websites.
There is a lot of things wrong with the internet but at least COVID-19 is one virus it cannot get so its head down, bum up and time to refocus.
That is all, I just needed to get some stuff out of my head so there is no real moral to this story apart from stay safe, support local businesses when and while you can and see you all on the other side.

We are pretty much shut down here on the west coast of Canada with more announcements today.
Although these times are tumultuous (to say the least), we are all in this together and there is no better time to look at the current situation and realize just how much we rely on the internet and the online shipping channels during a pandemic like this.
We will get through this, our world will be a better and safer place as a result, and we will be more prepared than ever.

Same here all fitness related closed. Liquor stores are open, go figure. 🤔🤣
I just read one of our local fitness centers allowed their customers to take home equipment so they could continue exercising at home.

And you are right re bottle shops - although they are now seeing the same panic buying that supermarkets have been struggling with - people just don't get it!!

Yes, supporting local during this time is so important. I have been laid off from my job as a Trainer at a local 9Round Gym. And I’m also now over seeing online learning for school for my girls.
The pros for my girls is that we had to buy them each a chrome book as I need my computer really vamping up my training and blog posts on my website!
I’m glad you were prepared and will be ok for 6 months. I’m not so sure the gym I work for will be able to reopen after all this is done!
