Hi
I need to remove the words "please install woocommerce plugin" from the top of my website, cant see anywhere to get into to get rid of it. my site is www.naturallyhe
Have you tried to edit thru customize your theme? Go to appearance, themes, and then customize in the top right corner should be a pencil icon to edit & remove the woocommerce option if the theme allows it.
If you don't want the "cart" to show in the upper right hand corner. you could go to your plugins and "deactivate" woocommerce. That should do it.
Do you plan on selling your own products? If yes, then you will need to use the plugin woocommerce.
If you plan on b being an affiliate marketer and using affiliate links (marketing other products though signing up to an affiliate program you will not need WooCommerce. So you can deactivate the Woocommerce plugin.
Hi woo commerce is not installed so at a loss as how to get rid of it, think I will change the theme seems the easier option thanks for replying
Yes, then it must be part of your theme. As you are suggesting, I would change the theme.
You may have installed a theme that required you to install the woo commerce plugin however you do not have to, if you do not a shop on your store, you can dismiss.
I usually note down what I installed in case I do not like the theme then I can uninstall the other bits that came with it.
it is internal in your dashboard - WordPress sites back office.
Hi woocpmmerce is not installed and I can't find anywhere to remove it, going to change themes I think, I do need a shop as I'm doing affiliate marketing thanks for replying
Can you give us a screenshot of it, there must be a close option some place.
With affiliate marketing you promote merchant's websites and stores but not sell the good yourself unless you have your own wares you want to physically or digitally sell.
hi abie yeah I know how affiliate marketing works so I know I do not need the woocommerce and so havent installed the plugin but this phrase has always been there and I just cannot remove it, I have looked at everything I will see if I can send you some shots other than that think I will change the theme, most annoying really x
only you can see this Pauline
if you try going to your site from a new privacy window or incognito mode then you will see what your visitors see....
it looks like one of your plugins or theme wants you to install woocommerce for some reason..
i lied Pauline ...you get to see it on every page bar the home page...
i take it you have gone through all of the woocommerce settings in appearance >>customize ...
if you have then you have two options ...install woocommerce or change the theme....
there is a third one which you install siteorigin css plugin and find the text and hide it....

How to remove installed words from my site?

There’s no need to change themes for something like this. Your site doesn’t show any message to install woo commerce. You’re only seeing it because you’re logged into your back office. It’s not publicly viewable. You can delete the woo commerce plugin completely if you’re not using it.
that's what i thought Eric, but if you select any one of the posts you will see the text in the header section....where the cart is on the home page...
