Facebook say it is SCAM!
Hi Guys and Gals
This really 'gets my goat'
I am now doing something that I think is great by offering free guitar lessons and free set up service to anyone but Face book says it is a Scam - see below
Last week everything was so good with facebook and it was really starting to work for me and then I lost everything my account had been stopped as you all probably rememberSo I started again and everything was OK started to build up again and so yesterday post the blog of the free services and I get restricted again.
I have appealed and written back a few time but they just do not reply
My question is how can you be stopped from offering to help people as it is just beyond me.
If you have anything to add then please do as I must be missing something
Thanks guys and gals
Paul

FB has truly gotten on my nerves. I couldn't boost any products or advertise because they said I got a complaint. I asked what kind of complaint which they never explained so I just deleted my page and don't try to use FB for promoting anything anymore. Not sure who's in the driver seat for things but it's getting stupid.
Facebook is really slamming hard on affiliate marketers (like us) when we genuinely try to help and change the world for a better place.
In WA, I believed there is only one way to success - it is hard work. I have not poured enough strength and endurance into WA as I eager to get result.
Nonetheless, I will try to get into the real WA world soon and I have already started to make my self available in Facebook by posting a free account sign-up in WA. Not sure I will get ban too but let's pray it won't and thank you for the good advice here Paul.
I will refrain from using the word Free in Facebook - and if we don't use the word `Free' in our attempt to have a good lead magnet - am not sure what we can do to make the affiliate marketing works.
Is there a way to promote without using the word called `Free' - that will be interested to know and that way would create another avenue of success for WA affiliate marketer.
John.
That's right Paul - there is another way. I am just thinking what else can we do to make the offer much more attractive using another word / means apart from using the word called `FREE'.

I like what DaveSw states below. Facebook is a tool and one with huge impact, both positive and negative. And as with all tools, Facebook can be used to the best of the end users ability to benefit them.
That said, if anything is a SCAM it is FB and other social media outlets. They may be good for marketing and sharing but overall they are bad for individuals leading to being bad for society and overall humanity.
ROCK ON!

Hi, Paul...
I have been using Facebook more and more for our online business, and as of now, we have had no issues other than one or two posts that were flagged....
We have done ads for conversions, boosting, and getting attention to the business pages without incident. We are using the business management site, as opposed to working from our personal timelines.
I have a partner in the business, and to shield ourselves from a shutdown, we have two accounts and have split the different business pages between them...
This has not happened yet, however...
We also follow closely the recommended policies and often use the resource guide (even though you have to watch for the dates of solutions published) to make sure we are in compliance...
Having said all of that, it does make sense to have a Plan B and a Plan C in place. Much as with search or content marketing, things can happen and your business is literally at risk...
Our approach is to use a combination of paid and organic traffic, using the search engines (keywords), social (posting with links to our websites), influencer traffic, and the old faithful, email marketing...
It can be frustrating, but since this has happened to you multiple times, I would look to see why and perhaps get some advice from someone that knows all the ins and outs of Facebook.
The power that Facebook has is huge, the audience is well over 1.4 B, and as with Google (and that includes YouTube, Blog dot com) it can sometimes feel that you are not getting a fair shake when in reality it is a little thing that is biting you...
Best of luck!
Dave : )
Hello Dave and I thank you for your very nice and helpful words and do agree Facebook is a great tool but like everything I have to learn just how to use it but will get there one day I am sure
Thanks - Paul
That is so wrong! I actually had two people scam me and get a hold of my bank account information. I contacted Facebook and they did nothing. I even have police reports against these people. Facebook allows all these people to get away with these scams and do nothing. I wish the best of luck to you!

Facebook is going through an identity crisis right now. All political, of course... not something I would want to get tangled up in.
They can't decide on whether they are a public service or a dictator.
I'm going to take my site down and do business elsewhere for now. If more people would do this, maybe they would get the message like the NFL... they are a public service. Period.

Facebook has shut me down multiple times for what they claim to be suspicious activity. Every time I start getting some attention and can post in my groups, my account was suspended for verification. After this happened multiple times, I stopped trying to share with my groups.
The next thing is I am not allowed to run ads on Facebook because they say my ads violate their rules against nudity and adult content. None of my ads contain adult content or any form of nudity. That is not what my site is about and there is no need for me to use it in my content. I have appealed and to no avail. So I do not run facebook ads for my dating mentorship site. It's disappointing, but I do not see a way around it with Facebook. At least not for now.
That's really too bad. I have posted invites on FB to my sites, and they just disappear. But they don't restrict me. There is so much advertising on FB I don't know why they wouldn't allow Free Guitar lessons. Maybe it sounds too good to be true and so they think it's a scam.
Facebook is getting really crazy these days. Recently I tried to create a paid campaign for my shopify store, and they blocked my ad account saying that I am violating their policies, without any detailed explanation. It is a simple store for wallets, nothing that would violate their policies. I went really mad.
Yeah, I was going to pay. Also, it was not the first time I create a paid ad. Strange, strange...

I don't believe there's anything wrong with offering a free service to prove your worth as a guitar teacher. Unfortunately, the word FREE has been stigmatized by those that continuously try to game the system.
Try different wording. "Leave your email and I will send you 3 complimentary lessons."
Hopefully that might help.
James
Great idea Jame and thank you
