Why Asking “Stupid” Questions Are Actually Smart
Hey Folks,
I really put this together for me. With so much information here at WA. I find myself forgetting simple things. Then spending loads of time searching for them instead of following Kyle's suggestion and just asking them as a question.. Because I consider them stupid and minor (maybe some false pride here). Yet looking for them takes time and is a bit frustrating. So I wrote this.
Enjoy
The fastest learners in any room are usually the ones brave enough to ask the question everyone else is pretending to understand.
What people call a “stupid question” is usually just:
• a gap in knowledge
• a different perspective
• a challenge to assumptions
And that’s where progress lives.
🚀 Why it works
1. It exposes blind spots
Entire teams can build plans on flawed assumptions because no one wants to look uninformed.
2. It simplifies complexity
Asking “Why do we do it this way?” often reveals overcomplication, wasted steps, or outdated processes.
3. It accelerates learning
Confusion kept silent turns into delay. Questions turn into clarity.
4. It gives permission for others to learn
When one person asks, ten others silently feel relief.
5. It challenges ego
Growth begins where pride ends.
💼 In business
Innovation often starts with questions like:
- “Why can’t this be easier?”
- “Why does this cost so much?”
- “What problem are we really solving?”
Those are not foolish questions.
They are disruption in disguise.
🧠 In life
Curiosity keeps you adaptable. Silence keeps you stuck.
The only truly “stupid” question…
is the one you needed to ask but didn’t.
Because unanswered questions don’t protect your image —
they limit your future.
🎯 Me, Thinking Out Loud
In a world moving faster each and every year, the advantage won’t belong to the people who pretend to know everything — it will belong to those humble enough to keep asking.
Every breakthrough, every improvement, every innovation started with someone willing to say,
“I don’t understand — explain it.”
Questions are not signs of weakness.
They are evidence of awareness.
Because the moment you stop asking is the moment you stop growing —
and growth is the real measure of intelligence.
So expect me to be asking many stupid questions
Just Saying ^_^ Friend talking again. Cheers!

My Brother, I 100% supports what you mentioned in the post,
Yes in life when we ask questions we over come barriers, or even confusion, that’s the real building blocks in life.
Good afternoon Paul, time 6:03pm
I can't help it but laugh. My brother hated "stewpid" questions. But what you posted makes sense. As the old cliche' goes. It's better to ask a "stewpid" question than to make a "stewpid" mistake!
Morning Michelle
Yeah got tired of frustrating myself, trying to remember where Kyle taught what.
Appreciate you sharing. ^_^ Cheers. Going to bed, should have gone at 2.am, now 3.17am. Bye

Hi Paul, I like to try and ask questions whenever I can. Facebook is pretty rubbish for it but usually WA is pretty good. Warrior Forum I've not used for a while but this used to be good and you can use an affiliate link in the footer of your message for whatever you choose.
Thanks Alex, I remember to look up Warrior Forum ^_^ Cheers
