My Adventures with PLR Articles
I was looking for more ideas on what to add to my fledgling blog, because I felt I was getting too narrow a focus as I was planning out my posts. I took a chance and bought a set of Private Label Rights (PLR) articles related to affiliate marketing. I was able to buy 73 articles for very little money. When I ordered them I had no expectation that they would be written well enough to use on my blog, so I wasn't surprised when I saw the quality of what I got.
This was OK though, because I knew I would want to re-write them in my own voice and style. I looked at it as a cheap way to get a bunch of article ideas, complete with notes. In this regard I was not disappointed. The hardest part of writing for me is coming up with an idea in the first place. With these I get the ideas and an rough outline, and that saves me about 1/3 of the time I spend on an article.
So for me, the PLR articles are going to work out well. Has anyone else used PLR material for their sites?

Tried a few PLR's when I started out but decided it was not the best way for my niche.
But I think you're right though, that they can be a great inspiration and you can easily re-write them to make original content. Just make sure to check your rewritten article in CopyScape.
p.s. If you're rewriting them in Site Content, it will automatically check for that ;)
Cheers!
