Choosing the right domain name.
I just wanted to share a problem and use it as an illustration for others. Put a lot of time and thought into your domain name. I know Kyle covers this in one of His blogs and talks about researching other domains by typing in keywords and search terms. He's a great teacher but I missed something that wasn't so obvious to me.
You learn by watching others but somethings just aren't obvious when dealing with computers. I thought I did my research and I have 2 websites on page 1 of Bing and 1 on page 4 (and climbing) on Google in just a couple of weeks. Sounds good right? I haven't made a sale yet and it's my fault.
My domain name is thinmoms.com or .co.uk and the problem is if you put thin moms into the search bar, not the address bar, You have to turn off safe search because it pulls up the porn pages and that's where they are ranking my weight loss site that's built for new moms weight loss. Not many new moms in the porn section. I've bought 2 new domain names so I can start over. I'll let you know how it comes out.

I hope that doesn't happen to mine, but I have ran into problems with domain selling sites, and other sites using my domain name to stay on the first page. It seems like there should be some control with what people do with your domain name.
In this case, learn by practice can be expensive. While you own the names you might try to sell them, even at the price you paid for then, or try to make a few dollars, sell them for $25 each!
Yeah, that's not something that many think would return porn results. Interested to see how this turns out.

Hi Paul. Oh my gosh, what a dilemma! Who would have thought that those words would trigger those pages! Is anything sacred anymore! Wow! Keep working at it. Hopefully you are using Namecheap where you can buy domains for a fraction of what some of the other asking prices are! Good luck my friend.

Bad break. Porn needs to be blocked in so many ways. Was looking for black powder rifles with my son-in-law and a porn site came up. Don't understand what black powder rifles have to do with Porn?
