sending cold traffic to a sales page is hard to get a sale the conversion rate of cold traffic is about 1 percent so it sound normal to me

It's hard to really comment without seeing you feed page or the vendor page. If others have had success going through to the vendor page, then maybe your feed page needs some tweaking. The vendor should be able to tell you how many clickthroughs he's had from you, ask them to find out how many people have visited from your site and see if the numbers match. If they use a cookie, then maybe it is not working properly.

Has google search began using keyword synonyms?

Keyword, Niche and Market Research

I was checking my PR for some posts on my site, and realized that Google was returning results that weren't necessarily a match for the exact keyword I was searching for.

To answer your question yes they are called LSI keywords which stands for Latent Semantic Indexing
Google looks for keywords and related terms to that keyword on your page but the thing about SEO that confuses people is that SEO is not just keywords, so what turns up in the search results is not just based on keywords alone, there are 200 other factors that determining what Google serves up on the front page, 3 of them being domain authority, domain age and relevant back links pointing to the site

Barry

So, if there are already a couple authority sites in a niche, what then for someone creating a site in that same niche?

It means you have some competition to beat most people don't really understand competition online so you need to look carefuly at what niche you are going after, and how you are going to get traffic to your site
So once you choose a niche you then need to look for low competition keywords in that niche to get ranked for them
There are authority sites in many niches

Barry

I've chosen low competition keywords, but the authority sites still rank ahead of me for a different/related keyword when I search for my specific keyword.

Well the next step is back linking your site will become an authority in time if you continue to work on it it does take time all this stuff
The only other way is get high quality, high PR back links to your site

Barry

Thanks for your insight. I'm just going to keep the faith and continue targeting low comp keywords.

Question about social media and my site?

Question about social media and my site?

asked in
Social Engagement & Marketing

When creating facebook, twitter, pinterest, etc... profiles do I make them under MY name, or do I make them under my niche/brand/site's name?

My site is getridofsocialanxi

left a comment on your site all the best

I really appreciate it! Thanks!

Hi graham yes good q, I ended up creating new social profiles- so I effectively treat each new business as it's own entity with its own social accounts. I try put all the business details in like email addresses etc though your own details are bound to get mixed up in there in some ways. Good point about logo christopherM think I will start using my own pic!

Hi Graham,
I would create separate pages in your social media for your website. I really think you will find social media is an excellent medium for your message. This is where the social phobics are social, anonymously on social media. I then suggest you tell your friends and family through your personal profile what else you are doing and invite them to come and join/like/follow your website social media links. They will know people who know people, which is how social media works :)
Good luck
Jo

That's a good point about being more active on social media. I'll get my friends to like some of my pages. Thanks for the input

I like this niche as I suffer from this. I left you a comment

Thanks very much! Let me know what you think of my content.

The good news is you can create new Pages in social media using any name of your choice.

I think this is a matter of preference. But I would not use your existing accounts, especially FaceBook. You can create new accounts with your name or your brand's name but I would definitely create new ones.

If you create new accounts with your brands name try not to use a logo if you can avoid it. Most people now don't want to trust a logo, they want to see a face.

So, if my website/company were called "Blue Paperclips," you'd recommend making a FB/twitter/pinterest profile called "Blue Paperclips" instead of just tweeting/sharing content from my personal profile?

I guess I'm a little confused since in the training, Kyle implies sharing your content from a personal profile. However, I've seen it done both ways.

Googles search results dont match the exact keyword?

Googles search results dont match the exact keyword?

Keyword, Niche and Market Research

Google's top results did not match the keyword I searched for. For example, I searched "overcoming fear of driving" (without quotes) to check my ranking, and the top 4 results d

This is quite common with Google. Being that Google says it ignores the meta keywords tag (adding in keywords manually that aren't on the page) I'm not exactly sure why.

So, you can write a post with this phrase "overcoming fear of driving". Then check this phrase another time, I think that you will find your post.

Interesting. I am not sure why

I guess they are waiting for you to go after that keyword so they have more to show.
