If you are exporting from word, make sure you save the file as a .txt file. Then the extra formatting is stripped out and you can paste directly into SA.

I have found this step is unneeded if you write directly on the Google Drive documents. The formatting is taken care of. GD saves automatically too so you don't have to worry about loosing your work.

Yeah I had to use Microsoft Word also. When I copied and pasted the content to SA, everything was BOLD! Fortunately, I was able to fix it. The article was approved, but I changed one of my links so it is pending again.

I'm not sure if this is the answer to the SA difficulty but I used to use Word then paste to SA and had similar problems. Now I just type directly into SA and use their correction tools. I believe Word and other processors carry coding that SA doesn't take.

Paul, i have seen that happen to me several times, .Last night i tried uploading a couple of articles and it got me freaking out. for example, i pasted 547 words, it showed me 1200 words. When i tried submitting, it asked for more paragraphs. I spent 2 yours to submit four articles last night.
