Adding LIVE CHAT to your website
I added the plugin "Tidio Chat" and so far, I like it. There are a number of good feelings about it such as the ability to see if someone is on your site in real time. And of course, the real time chat in itself is nice. I think this will be nice for visitors to feel they can reach you if you also happen to be online. On my side, it's kind of exciting (like a newbie) to see someone on your site. (of course, all you see is some set of id #)
You can also add an avatar of yourself and that adds a personal-friendly touch. They can see your face when they chat with you.
If you are not on line, they are able to send you an email.
One small hassle: you have to turn ON the chat plugin manually every time if you want to stay in real time with your visitor. Otherwise the visitor will see that you are offline. To do this, you have to go into your WP dashboard and scroll down to the Tidio Chat and just click it. This opens up the chat panel...within which you do your chatting. And then just leave it on while you are on the computer. (there is a mobile app, but you guess it....paid)
One way to bypass paying for a mobile app is to access your WP dashboard via your phone or tablet and turn on the chat and just leave it on. I do this when I am working at home which is where I do most of my online work. And so, I really don't need a paid app.
FYI: you can have the chat panel on even though you exit your dashboard.
And just like most plugins, there is a free and a paid version. The free one allows for only one installation. I have 2 websites and plan to have more. It sort of works on the second site but has some limitations. It's best to just have it on the site that receives the most traffic.
Using the free version, you are limited to chatting with one person at a time. So, you have to "X" out of one person in order to chat with another. Now, this means that you must STAY in the dashboard mode. If you go online, then you become the chat person. Go back to the dashboard mode. I hope that makes sense.

I have always known the importance of love for your work, but it is becoming more and more important to me. I'm glad that you are able to keep going because of your love for what you do. I'm sure you are writing about it somewhere. People would be inspired to read about how you can literally do 2 full time jobs and also manage a family. God give you strength.
I think it is a great idea, for you as a pastor to have this posibility, to make a bridge between people and you! I am getting more and more respect for all what you are doing!
Well, it's an experiment. I think you're right. If the people are being engaged, they might find it nice to have real time access to the writer/pastor. I hope it works. Thank you for the kinds words. It's amazing that you just posted, because I was just reading your profile and being amazed at all that you are doing - - running a daycare and doing all this work on such a high technical level.
