What can we learn from 13 years of WA?

So, I just read an article posted by Kyle and Carson and I thought we could take a few lessons out of their 13 years of experience with WA. Here is the article, if you haven't read it yet.

Firstly, it is so incredible to know that this platform has been around for that long. It just shows that the guys who make it all possible know inside and out of this industry. Not only is it a great support for us, but also an incredible selling point for all the people looking for an affiliate marketing platform.
Hard Work Pays Off
Kyle and Carson also mentioned it in their article, but the key to success is hard work. If you truly want to become successful, you need to be ready put in the hours. I am just imagining 13 years ago when Carson and Kyle started this whole thing.
I bet affiliate marketing wasn't as big then as it is now. To come up with that idea of being able to help others with affiliate marketing and build an entire platform around that took a lot of work I'm sure. And to really believe it at that time that it would work, is also very apploadable. Nothing comes without hard work, but hard work definitely gives you a good return - as did WA for Kyle and Carson.
Fail More and More
Whenever we talk about someone's success, the topic of failures are very rarely brought upon. But the more you fail, the quicker you know that you're wrong so you can figure another way out.
They talk about a lot of things that they produced that wasn't a hit. To create something in this amazing platform takes tremendous amount of time and work. And, how do you think they felt once they realized that the 'thing' they created didn't work? Absolutely miserable I'm sure. But, they learned from it, and build something else.
And look at what WA is now. It has so many cool features that is nowhere else. As they continue to add more and more features, I'm sure there will be tons of things that won't work and all that time would have gone to waste. But, that's the whole point. You can't be right at everything and you need to test it to make sure it works.
More Success Means More Responsibility
This is also very often overlooked. Getting to success is hard. But maintaining that success is every harder. Because, every little tweak you do from there on has a greater impact and greater consequences.
WA is an amazing platform even after 13 years because Kyle and Carson have been super responsible with the people in WA. They've put in a ton of hours to make sure that the website looks stellar and sellable even after a lot of years. This is what responsibility is all about.
Final Thoughts
When we are creating our website, so many of us quit because they are not looking at the bigger picture. They don't realize that success doesn't come easy. Even for Kyle and Carson, they worked super super hard to get that website up and running.
We are so afraid of failure that we tend to just backoff when we don't succeed the first time. Oh, your website plugin didn't work -- hmm, I guess this is just not for me. These kind of things happen daily and it is really unfortunate because the possibilities after you battle through all the failures is limitless. Kyle, Carson and the entire WA platform is an example of that.

Thanks for your terrific blog!!! How many times I myself just wanted to give up because things got too difficult or my website didn't look perfect. What would have happened if Kyle and Carson had given up when they had that first bump. I never thought of that. You have made a great point!!!
