New Beginnings
New Begining
This post is for the fresh faces joining WA. I have seen several questions in the recent past from new-comers asking where they should start or what their first site should be about. I know that if you follow your training you will be guided to the answers and in some instances even be provided with them. It with this in mind and paying it forward that I write today.
Where do I start?
Start with what you already know. This is the simplest way to begin and you will have an abundance of knowledge from which to draw. Here's an example: let's say you are a teacher by trade looking for a side income. Great, start there pull together some insights from your career. Write your first few articles on tips and tricks to get students to work or talk about the different resources you have used. Let's say you are a student, what things do you enjoy as a hobby or what skill do you have. Is it skateboarding? Is it playing an instrument? Use these things that you are already doing to get your feet wet, because doing this allows you to see immediate progress. Is this really what you want to write about, maybe not but it is just a place to start.
What's next?
So you have joined WA and you have gone through the training (or not), you have started with something you know. Now go back through the training again with the skill or knowledge you have at the fore front and see how the training starts to make a bit more sense. Why, you ask, because now your focused on the training instead of where to begin. Yes you have probably heard this before, from the training. Again this is just to get your feet wet and to take some burden of how or where to start away. If you pick something your like but are not familiar with you may lose interest due to the research you may want to do in order to produce good content. Starting with something you know eliminates that part of the struggle.
So what are you waiting for go create some content and remember to have fun while doing so. best of luck to you all.

Great advice, perfect, content content content, avoid spending lots of time on bells and whistles as they won't really get you to your goals. A great share, thanks Phil
