Interesting Site
I read a blog from a fellow member a couple of weeks ago informing us about a site which invites donations from patrons to fund whatever project(s) you have in mind.
I decided to join this site to see what the site was about. Some of the members, according to the site, are getting donations in the thousands of dollars to pursue their artistic talents. In return, the site asks for a small percentage of the donations as payment for bringing you to the attention of potential patrons.
In my initial blog to this site, I mentioned that I was working on a novel which is almost finished, and I also mentioned that I was interested in startup money for a medical device that I have been working on for several years. I didn't know what to expect.
Two weeks later, I haven't received a cent. Lol. Initially, I got emails from the site almost every day, but the emails have tapered to zero. These emails were suggesting different tactics to use to produce donations. I did not, however, change my profile or blog as I didn't want to apply pressure tactics to anyone.
We'll see what ultimately happens, but I have a feeling that the total sum will be zero.
I did not mention the name of the site on this blog, but will be happy to provide the name if you private message me.

Geez, I've learned a long time ago to be careful around online opportunities in which someone has a hand out asking for money! By now I run, and don't walk away from these scams!
Live and let learn, Pablo! Sounds as if this was one fraudulent con!
Yes, you are correct. Thank you for the good advice my friend. And thank you for stopping by. Have a good one
Good morning. Yes, it certainly has that feel. "If it's too good to be true, it probably is," as the saying goes.
The problem is that some marketers have become masters in their field, and utilising human psychology to its best, they tend to get you hooked on the bait.
It smacks of silliness I'm afraid. Oh well. Have to keep going. Thank you for stopping by. Have a good one.
Thank you for sharing that with us.
I hope something good comes from that venture.

Looks like you were scammed. It's sometimes difficult to figure out was is real and what is fake.
Let's hope it was real. Anyhow: The hope dies last!
Luckily, no money changed hands, but definitely suspicious. Thank you for your comment Eric.
