Turn a bad start into a good day!
This morning started off great...got my usual early start to the day (I'm up about 4 am every day)....made it to the gym and discovered I had left my key at home...crap! Well, my ex doesn't live to far away and she has a key i gave her so ... been meaning to swing by and see my babies (dogs) for a while anyway so I figured I'd give a call. She was up so I swung by, walked the dogs then headed to the gym and kicked some holy butt man!
Everythings great now, awesome start to the day until....
I checked my bank account when I got home....YUCK! I discovered 2 things that could have soured the rest of the day. #1 and the biggest thing was that a check I deposited from a client had bounced....geeze, that was basically my rent money which is due in a week! Also, a subscription for a service I had cancelled at the start of the week went thru anyway! C'mon now, what's going on? Of course their customer service is closed on Sat...awesome.
The point of all this is now I have a choice...I can be pissed off all day and let these two annoyances ruin things .... OR
I can chalk it up to exactly what it is...a passing annoyance that will be remedied shortly. It's not the end of the world! So I am going about my day/weekend and will continue to make the progress that I need to and have a great time doing it.

Hey Michael,
I'm with you on the "your happiness really is all how you look at things" philosophy. It's why I rarely bother commenting on *health-wealth-misery* or *motivational* posts. I've no time nor patience for such self-indulgent twaddle as I'm fortunate in being the least sympathetic person I know and proud of it.
I start the day by opening a bottle of Evian and remind myself that every 60 seconds a child dies somewhere because they have no access to fresh clean drinking water. I find that puts any *problems* I think I might have entirely in their proper perspective.
That said, if someone locks Tony Robbins in a cage and lets me poke him with a stick, I might just get motivated to buy a ticket. :)

I like your comment Richard; Great way to start the day, drinking a bottle of evian (health) and remembering that a child dies somewhere because of no access to water (miserable fact of this world); or motivational posts (Tony Robins - a man who has probably motivated millions of people to get out of their ruts and take a positive direction in their lives.
I'm so sorry, I've given you a completely false impression of me. :( I prefer to kick off my day with a Bellini followed by a Bloody Mary. I only use the Evian to water the plants. :)

if you can, what do you see on the first page> The reason I ask is that when I view it there seems to be the default start page/theme I selected which is the iphone frinedly thing and chimp something... But my first post is not on the start page...?

You can't show your site link on your profile because you're on the starter membership. This was changed recently because too many people were abusing it and trying to promote scams. If you want someone to have a link - you will have to post a link and ask for some feedback.

As far as the event not much, just a business occurrence though in 20 years I have had remarkably few NSFs. Mostly I learned that i could either be annoyed/angry or just accept it's an oversight that the client will fix. So far they seem to be contrite and on track with making amends
