What is inspiration
Inspiration can be defined in many ways. The Free Dictionary defines it as a "stimulation of the mind or emotions to a high level of feeling or activity, a product of your creative thinking and work." According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, "inspiration is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative." These definitions relate directly to the state of mind we need to be in to stay relevant as writers/bloggers. I have asked this question many times and you've probably done the same. In the midst of the highs and lows, how do I stay inspired?
How do I stay Inspired
Different people have their own strategies that help them stay inspired. These range from positive affirmation to actual step by step actions that they perform.
Below are 8 tips that have consistently worked for me and have helped me stay inspired to write, no matter the circumstances.
1. Believe in yourself
2. Keep an open mind
3. Become an avid reader and learner
4. Network both offline and online
5. Ask for input from your readers
6. Learn the signs of fatigue
7. Set realistic goals and expectations
8. Think of the end result
For me, there are two reminders that keep me inspired. They are framed and have a prominent place in my home office.
"Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain"- the prayer of Jabez (1st Chronicles 4:9-10).
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams - Eleanor Roosevelt

Very good suggestions here. I also have the prayer of Jabez on a small plaque at my house. ...Judy
Your tips are great ones. So is the prayer of Jabez.
Sometimes staying in the race boils down to #8: Think of the End Result. When there is nothing left to do but keep plodding on, thoughts of what is waiting for you can help keep your feet moving.
Very true, RaineyC. #8 always reminds me that there's something to look forward to, if only I can hang in there and continue to push on. Thanks for reading.
