Damian, I am so sorry for your situation. I had to do the same thing. I'm sure everyone here have experienced that sadness.
It' will take a little time, but you will clean it up in no time.

Hi louisa
Thanks so much. Yes it will.
I'll start clearing mines soon.

Try clickbank. They seem to be much more user friendly.

Thanks ariel.
i can try it again.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I would be frustrated, too. I'm sure it's just a tiny bump in the road that will serve as a lesson or a door to something greater.

There are so many affiliate programs out there. I recommend checking out CJ Affiliates. They have a ton of companies that advertise through them and a lot of them are pretty easy to get approved for and pay decently.

Otherwise, you can just google any company with the word "affiliate" and a lot of them have their own programs. So any of the brands you are already advertising, see if they have their own affiliate program. You'll probably get bigger commissions than from Amazon. Good luck!

aww thanks so much. Much apppreciated.
I'm going to try C.J.
Yeah amazon is a headache. Not no more. LOL
thanks for the reccomendations
Damina

Happened to me earlier in the journey, it can be annoying, but they have actually done you a really big favour. It makes you sit down and think about what you are doing, so long term the are more positives than negatives.
All the best Damina you can reapply if you want to, There are plenty of programs chomping at the heals of Amazon.........Alixpress, Walmart, best buys, eBay so all is not lost you still have your website and content.

Hi alex
you're right. I'm forgetting about amazon.Trying other affiliate sites. I already have shareasale..This did teach me something.
thanks so much

Hi Damina,

Unfortunately, Amazon will do that if you don't make the sales, but you can just turn around and sign up again. You have to go through the whole sign up process again, but it'll give you more time to get those sales coming in.

All the best to you,
Sue

hi sue
I think I'll just try other affiliate sites.
But I appreciate your advice.
Thanks so much
damina

Amazon decides their own rules and there's no one to appeal to. Replace those links with links to other merchants. I'll give you dollars to donuts that those other merchants have/different better products, much longer cookies than Amazon's one-day cookie, and much higher commission rates. You've got some work to do, but all of your work doesn't have to go to waste. I bet you can even find almost all the Amazon products on other merchant sites!

Have you a couple of suitable alternatives to Amazon, Jeannine?

wow, that's great and it makes sense.
thanks so much. I appreciate it
damina

I do indeed. I can recommend some other online department stores like AliExpress.com, but I also would rather recommend individual niche merchants who have usually have better products than you can find on those sites. What is your niche? I'd be glad to make suggestions.

It would be my pleasure to do so. What is your niche? I'll recommend specific merchant programs for your consideration.

Hi, Jeannine...my niche is about cat litter, and all that goes with it :)

I found 44 programs on ShareASale.com that have things for cats, including litter and litter boxes. In fact Luuup.com is all about litter boxes! PetsWarehouse.com looks pretty great too!

Wow, thanksss! You've been very busy. I'll approach these merchants and see if they accept me. Thanks again, Jeannine.

Not sure if they took you out for lack of required sales but that is one reason I haven't ventured to Amazon. For me, I don't have traffic to justify fooling with siging up with Amazon yet. I don't think I would reach the number of sales within the time required. I think most others don't agree with that plan, but it's my plan for now.

Sounds like James may have saved you some taking down work though.

Sorry that happened.

I agree with your plan, Cindy. At this stage, I think that unless a site starts to get traffic, it's pointless to apply with Amazon. This was my mistake...having become an associate far too early.

That was my mistake too. but not anymore. i learned the hard way.Lack for not bringing in sales. and i agree with your plan.
it's ok. i'll deal with it and thanks so much
damina

I applied with Sharasale and was approved for a few companies that I applied with for products I wanted to add to my site. Others have given good suggestions also. It's a pain but you will recover, there are lots and lots that have unfortunately gone through this situation with Amazon, you can turn it around for sure!

You can leave everything as is. The difference is you won't be paid any commission on any sales done.

thanks james. great help
