Day 12: Posting issues but. new money opportunity!
Hello dear readers and welcome to Day 12! Today was quite exciting. I had a business meeting with potential clients and I used my older ecom stores and my newest website to show them my design and writing style. It turns out they like my designs but it turns out they like my writing style even more!
This comes as quite a shock considering my latest website here is so new and I'm still figuring out the design and cleaning up the content. I showed it to them a few days ago and after reviewing it they decided that I'm worth $700/month to write for them. Now, it is true that I have written professionally before but I didn't like it (mostly because it was too rigid). This company however is in a niche that I actually have an interest in and best of all: I remain a free agent and I'm free to write the way I choose. Overall, I'm pretty stoked and celebrating a new stream of income! I'll explain how this opportunity came to me tomorrow since I'm celebrating my win today. There's a valuable lesson in what happened to me today that I feel everyone here can benefit from :)
As for my challenge: Posted a new blog today, had some issues publishing it due to my site settings but thankfully I got it sorted out. I'm excited for this weekend since my content plan is writing tutorials that I'm looking forward to turning into video training here! So stay tuned!
Until tomorrow my dear readers!

Hello Kyle, once again.
I like your post. It was very encouraging. Though, I knew the minute I step into the land of WA, it was and is still the place to be.
Stay focused and plugged in to all the trainings and chats and blogs and together we can make it to the top (wherever that is 😅🤣😂.
More Blessings to you & yours,
Kathy🦋
Hello, again, Kathy!
Thank you kindly, I genuinely appreciate your feedback, and it encourages me to keep this blog series running. If I help inspire or encourage at least one person, it's worth it.
Indeed haha, it can seem a little overwhelming at times for sure, and that's part of the reason I'm keeping this blog during my 31-day challenge this month. Not only to hold myself accountable but to share the different methods I use while providing a little insight.
It's certainly not easy to write one 1,000-word minimum blog post per day. One method I often use to prevent myself from burning out is something I like to call "Max by Min" (maximizing results by minifying goals).
The gist of it is that I'll start with a big goal like writing 2500 words per day, and then I'll make it smaller until it's so tiny that I can't fail unless I try. How small? I like to put it this way: if it doesn't make you laugh, it isn't small enough" :D
So for a goal like "Write 2500 words per day," I break it down into smaller and smaller tiers:
2500 ---->1500---->500---->100--->1
Now when I start, I work backwards. To be successful, I only need to write at least one word; that's it. Then, based on how I'm feeling and what I have planned for the day, I move up the tier, checking how I'm feeling along the way until I reach my main goal. Because let's face it, "life happens," and it's very inconvenient when it does. The beauty of doing it this way is that it will keep you active and engaged as you work towards your goal no matter what gets in your way.
It also serves as an emotional SafetyNet because if you write at least one word a day, you will always have something to feel happy about. Moreover, you can write that one word anywhere, at any time you have a little bit of free time. There are always instances of free time people underestimate, in my opinion. For example, if you're waiting in line, you have time to write that one word and be done for the day.
Sorry for the long reply but I get A LOT of things done using this method, and I hope it helps!
Hi Kathy,
My pleasure, I'm glad it helps.
That's an excellent niche with a VERY healthy amount of SEO content opportunities that are often underutilized. I only know this because I consulted for a few smaller companies in the past, helping them develop strategies they can use to compete with bigger operations. It was a pleasure to show them that a massive marketing budget is a terrible way to compete in the online business world.
Many companies go bankrupt trying to throw money into the google PPC roulette table to solve a negative corporate image problem.. Just "one of those things," heh :D
That's a wonderful thing. You'll find that the more you write, the more opportunities you have to rank your content. The Strategy that WA teaches here is fantastic because they are tried and true methods that will never change simply because Google's business model is based on delivering the highest quality and relevant search results.
Not to speak for Kyle and Carson, but I'm confident they will tell you the same. Writing more is never a bad thing, and worst-case scenario, you can always split it into two blog posts. You'll learn about creating a centralized page, and that's something that you can use to your advantage ;)
