Newbie to IM? You can still make a difference!

Last Update: July 11, 2017

I just saw someone thanked me in one of the blogs, read it here:Who are the 10 Best Teachers of Trainings within WA?

To clarify, I am just a newbie to IM and could not claim to have a lot of knowledge. However, it so happens that I am just one step ahead of this member and was able to help her out on a simple basic question. So, I answered her question and encouraged her not to give up. That was all! To tell the truth, I didn’t really help her that much as I am really not so equipped. I didn’t imagine that would warrant a mention from her.

Anyway, I just want to say that, even if you are just one lesson ahead here, you can still help others one step behind you. That is what WA is here for, we support one another along the way. Regardless of your progress, there will always be someone ahead, as well as someone behind and we are all moving towards the same direction.

So friends, pull on the rope left by the knowledgeable members and extend out a helping hand to those whom are behind you, you never know when you will be saving a life.

Remember the story of the dying fishes on the beach? If you help one, at least you have helped one and it has made all the difference in the world to that fish.

Thanks for sharing. I agree with u that we should help where we can and if u don't know the answer then say so, don't try and come up with something. There is nothing wrong with not knowing. Gives u something to go learn about. :)
Helping each other is what this community is about and I for one like to share my knowledge with anyone who has a need for it. I am also new to IM and learning as I go but I have gained a lot of knowledge so far on IM that I can help others who are behind me in the lessons.

Exactly Carl! I don't claim to know what I don't know. If I can't help, I would say so and perhaps direct a member to someone else whom I know can help.

Good point you have raised here, if I can't answer something, that will go on my to-learn list :) Hopefully next time I can be of use in the area. You are certainly my rope here in WA and I have pulled on you a few times, so thanks for helping me out, always!

And that is why your Actions belong on my Top 5. It doesn't matter how newbie you are or how ahead you are.
You gave me Valuable support and help to get passed my challenge.

People who are willing to take the time on a personal one on one to help another have a special skill and nothing less. To exercise a personal interest in another's progress is humbling.

Thank you again.

Thank you Jen, I am very touched by your words! Now my happiness meter is 100% :DDD

I do hope one day I learn enough to help many many people, because knowledge is power and I wish to use that power to do good.

Maybe I want to have a motto: There is no task too big to tackle and no member too small to help.
