Life and Brewing

Life and brewing sort of got me off track with my goal of publishing new content on my website at least once a week. My last content was during the first week of August with edits to that content running through to about the end of August.

As you can read in that article, the beer I brewed had some very awful off-flavors. So I spend some time getting my new brewing system completed (still not complete, that's another story) and solving the problems of that batch of beer.

Brewed the same recipe again, which I still have not written the content to describe the brewing process and the results. Did I solve my problem? Yes and NO! I was not satisfied with the outcome even with getting a 36 out of a possible 50 points from judges of the last competition. Hope to get the brewing notes published this week.

Cause of inactivity here - the brewing part. After brewing the Cream Ale recipe a second time. I have brewed the following beers since then.
1. Vienna Lager
2. Oatmeal Stout
3. Russian Imperial Stout
4. A French - Belgian style beer (Saison),
5. An American Amber Ale
6. An American Barleywine (still in fermentation) a very high alcohol (12+%) and hoppy (95 IBU's) American Barleywine.

The life part that resulted in inactivity here, gardening, hop harvest, and lawn work. A storage shed that required some rehab work to get it ready to keep everything dry this winter, and the usually old age health issues. Nothing serious, but nevertheless need to be taken care of as they start affecting the Old Geezer.

I don't usually brew American-style ales, to find out why I'm brewing more of those styles now, check the website over the next couple of weeks. I will get my brewing notes published on the above list of beers.

So back to my original goal of publishing new content at least once a week. I will also start working on getting some ranking on a new WA affiliate recruitment site. Hoping the first content will get published by mid-October.

It is time to earn a little residual income by marketing Wealthy Affiliate.

I'm back and will stay focused from here on out.

Sounds like you've been very busy, and I hope you are back in good health.

Sheila,
Thanks for the well wishes. Yes, in good health, if you discount the aches and pains of not being so young any more. I absolutely refuse to quit. As long as I can get out of bed and there is something to do, I will do it.

Decided it was time to get an WA affiliate recruiting site up and running, so that will be making it's initial showing very soon.

I be asking for Feedback very soon, now to learn how to get it ranked and start making some sales.

Joe

Good for you. I love to hear about older people who just keep going like one of those Eveready batteries. My husband's mother lived to be an active 100. I think it is a great thing that people take care of themselves so that they are with us for a long time. So you go, guy!

With #6, just get a different hydrometer, imbibe and report. Sounds like it will bottle already fortified. Will keep arthritis at bay. Larry
