Reality Doesn't Exist

There is no such thing as reality…yes it is true you can’t deny the existence of the clouds in the sky, the harsh temperatures of winter and the mighty roar of lions preparing to dominate. You can’t deny the conditions of the world we live in today; some places are beautiful while others could do with going on a date with improvement,

But what always puzzles is when someone, usually a nobody, opens their mouth and says, “It’s time to face reality.”

I mean what reality are they talking about? Whose reality are they referring to? As the world is constantly changing and limits are always being conquered, records that have lasted for seasons & seasons have been finally broken, causing a shock to ripple through the whole of society.

Inventions that were ridiculed when they were just a substance of imagination made a powerful impact and brought about a new era when their inventors made a gateway for them into this world.

Yes to be reasonable when setting goals is to make them achievable, but I don’t think there’s such a thing as being realistic when setting goals unless the amount of time set to achieve them was ridiculously short then they are unrealistic:).

But what’s to say a woman who has never sang in her life can’t set a goal to one day release a best-selling album, provided she has granted herself enough time and developed an excellent work ethic?

“This is reality! Stop living in fantasy and start spending your time properly,” what exactly would the common naysayer mean exactly with this statement?

The singer to be is the one who has to deal with the thoughts that surf across her consciousness when she puts her head on the pillow sealing the end of the day.Only she understands what will make her happy in life and the best way she can contribute to her community.

The concept of ‘keeping to reality’ actually has no scientific or mathematical foundation come to terms to think about it…

In other words no one would be able to actually draw the idea on paper, measure it and present it to the world in a crystal clear manner, what exactly it means to ‘live in reality’. The individual who manifested the concept of ‘facing reality’ must have had some good shit before taking that journey into his/her mind to discover such an idea, apologies for the language by the way:).

To be honest I really would try the stuff he/she took to experience the level of ‘high’ they were on as clearly it was something really good. I say this because if you take two completely different individuals and put them in one room it wouldn’t make sense to say ‘leave fantasy alone and stick to reality,’ because both of them have different roles to play in life and different values to live by…besides I doubt the role of ‘facing reality’ could be described on paper with a proper valid definition.

The next person who tells me to stop following my dreams and ‘come back to reality’ I will grin at and ask, “After giving up my dreams, how exactly do I ‘face reality’? What is the lifestyle of a person aspiring to make it in reality? And what ceremonies and traditions do the members ‘facing reality’ hold?”

Then giggle at the puzzled look on their face, I wonder what food would I eat, when I would sleep, what type of friends I’m supposed to have as a ‘realistic’ person. How can one say they have a dream to become a ‘realistic’ person?

Every individual’s reality is something completely different and no two realities are exactly the same. And the reality we have before us was formed by our own decisions, standards and values. So when someone talks about not living in fantasy and accepting reality I just don’t get it.

The way I see it’s another way of telling one not to follow their dreams, accept the standards society has set and forget about unlocking the full potential, if you don’t strive for your full potential, to be the best version of YOU then why bother living in the first place. How can an individual be born to follow another human being's opinions…hence the so called standards?

I mean what makes that human being so special they have somehow been granted the power to tell us not to follow our dreams, and then use being realistic as a sorry excuse! Na man that aint right, that’s some bullshit!

We were not born to follow orders…robots are already doing that. There’s a reason we have dreams, there’s a reason our heart beats with whispers motivating us to follow the passion we have thriving within, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS REALITY, WE ARE REALITY! We are blessed with the power, ability and talent to create, otherwise why would we have creativity in the first place?

We were born to create the reality that gives our heart a reason to beat with passion.

If ‘life is what you make it’ then where does ‘facing reality’ come in. we are already in reality, we all know there are consequences for breaking the law, we all know it takes hard work and determination to reach a BIG goal, we all know the world is a huge place and that it is not wise to waste opportunities although they are in abundance.

And we certainly are all already aware of the basic needs we need to survive. So truly to me there’s no meaning in being told ‘be realistic’ because history is clear evidence filled with individuals who keep bringing about special contributions to the world.

And on top of that their quotes and writings always encourage the ambitious to live by their own terms and work enthusiastically to craft the life of their dreams…I’ve noticed legends inspire individuals to seek the greatness within but the average group in this society always preaches about the importance of living ‘according to reality.’

And so I say to you live according to the deepest desires of your heart, appreciate the gift of being a human being and embrace a lifestyle that shall make you the happiest. No dream is impossible and the true power within is great enough to conquer any obstacle so use it wisely:).

Show the world what you are truly made of and make the community a much better place than it already is. Make the reality you were born to live and never forget that ‘life is truly what you make it.’
