This is a tough to write post through tears.
Blue is a pup with special super powers. He is a pure bred Blue Heeler, specifically trained as a hearing ear dog for my daughter with profound hearing impairment. He has skills to ease her rheumatoid arthritis and anxiety. Time for hydroxyzine, no time for panic. And lay and stay. Plus cute to boot.
How could anyone do this to him!?
He did not come in from his evening run.
He just LOVED to run! NOT MOP
Left for work before 8am and home after 9pm to find this trap. I wanted to write you a note about Alexa Ranking and Amazon Video Book Review BUT I am too p.o.'d! So here I rant, I'm sorry for venting.
It was just a childish mistake but not okay. Are they raised by wolves? Neighbor kids trying to trap! I can't believe this.

Oh NO!!!! That is horrible.
I know how you feel. I lost a dog that we never found again. We suspect he may have ended up in a trap. It was a very remote area. No streets, no cars, nowhere to end up but in the woods and our neighbor was a trapper. Dad always tried to make sure they didn't trap near our home but you never know what is in the woods. It was awful losing him and never knowing what happened. He was the sweetest boy too. It was over 20 years ago but I still cry thinking about it!

I am glad he is better! My boy was all black and a bit fluffy but his fur glowed reddish in the sun. I used to ride him around when I was little.
We had a whole dog team. I was lucky to have so many great buddies when I was little. They were huskies and mutts, a few were McKenzie River Huskies which almost went extinct and I was recently in contact with a breeder who is trying to save them. We had wolf hybrids too. They were all great dogs.
I always wanted a Saint Bernard!
We raised Akc Alaskan Malemutes and Siberian Huskies, it prints a paw on the fabric of your being
The people who hurt the animals
are really cowardly and cruel!

Thank you so much, he didn't want to go out for his walk this morning and Julie bug is at school for deaf and blind. She comes home tomorrow, I am just hoping he can heal without amputating his leg
This is so unbelievable. The things that some persons do to others is unimaginable. I hope that Blue will come home soon and unharmed.
He will need lots of activity as he is a working dog. I have a video of one that is bored and going mad chasing is tail then looking up at the house for attention. He will want to round everything up.

Thank you, I cannot wrap my head around it either. Last year the kids tresspassed onto the property to try to steal an engine hood off one of grandpas old rigs. The parents made the kid fix brownies and write an apology letter. I think he dunnit this time too. No brownies or letter could redeem, but Fish and Game is investigating today. We called the police but they didn't come. I appreciate your caring comment, thank you very much.
I think he will be ok, Im not a veterinarian. I think so though and I thank you for the kind condolence. Was pretty perturbed. What a mean trap.
Let us know how he is after going to the vet. We love our dogs and have lost them naturally, old age. certainly would not want them hurt by a foolish decision these kids made, yet why were they available without proper supervision.

The kids in all the houses behind our property randomly bug. The whole development was build on grandpa's back forty, in the cow poop pond. They all wanted to be part of the bigger school district and lobbied to change the boundaries. We are not part of the development and were here first. So, in order to keep my kids in same school they make me have to bus to 4 schools. Or switch in the middle of the year to schools my kids don't feel accepted. Because we aren't part of their development (or is it a cult I'm starting to wonder)
You know if any of them needed a nurse id be right there. But do they know the difference between the green and red thermometer: the flavor...

Awesome looking dog. I had 4 now zero! the last one was heartbreaking for us, especially for my wife. She was almost 15 but went down so fast. Strange not having at least one. We have had 1-2 for 33 years, so hopeful find another rescue we will give a lot of love to.
I got a little rescue Stormy and got her fixed. The owner had a broken neck. Part Pug, Chihuahua and Datsun, an interesting mix. But I thought the pups might turn into some form of hyenas so fixed storms not to mate with Blue😆
Sorry to hear this Becca. Will Blue be okay? I thought these sort of traps were banned years ago. I remember seeing some in the shed on our farm but I know my father never used them. Jim
Fish and Game said they are and they will come take a report. Yes he is feeling a lot better not to be stuck. Just limping but I will take him in tomorrow if needed.

Ohhhhh I’m so glad Blue is going to be alright. I absolutely love animals. I worked around 4 police canines and love them, well except for one called Arno. He was kinda aggressive and crazy.
Blue is still in a state of shock right now. It’s like being in a bad car accident and not wanting to drive for awhile.
He’ll be back up to speed in no time:-)
Yeah! You hit it on the money, he was running again just as I came home. Slight limp not bad, but we are on the lookout for anymore traps and Fish and Game is helping
