Another thanksgiving story
Hello friends in WA,
I want to share with you my story in my first thanksgiving day in US.
It was May 2013 when I arrived this country as immigrant, I began a new life in freedom. We were preparing our first thanksgiving celebration but life changed when I wake up that Thursday with a Bell's Palsy paralysis, for those who don't know it is face paralysis.
I was devastated, I thought what to thanks for? I didn't want to go emergency room, thank the support of my family I finally went and had the right treatment. My face was totally deformed, it was in the left side, I couldn't close my eye or drink water, I felt very bad.
Any way we went to the family meeting we had planned a long time ago, and there every friend and family tried to comfort me, and someone already had this type of paralysis years ago. At the end of the day, I thought what if it were a stroke? or an hemiplejia? or what happened if I had this in my country? OMG I found a lot to be grateful for.
Now after 5 years I remember it with tears in eyes, I recovered with few consequences, and I am grateful every single day of my life. I am alive, my children are very successful in this country and yesterday I was born again as US citizen.
Thank GOD for everything in my life.
Thank you for stop by my blog
Happy thanksgiving ! !

That is a great post and wonderful story I am sorry that you experience some like that but things happen that we can't explain but you are better though and you are alive.
That is the most important things of all that you can enjoy your family and friends. I do understand what you went through. I have alot to be thankful for.
