So far, So good.
Well, it has been 3 weeks since I joined Wealthy Affiliate and I am almost done with the training course. Since joining, I have also researched the web on all things blogging and affiliate marketing, and have also created a Facebook page, an Instagram, and a Pinterest page for my brand.
Slowly, but surely, I am adding content to each. If it is one thing I've noticed throughout my research is that it is best to have more than one stream of income, so I am trying to open as many avenues as possible.
It really is a lot of work and very time consuming to get a website up and running, not to mention having to maintain it over time. I am proud of myself for sticking this out this far. I would've given up by now, but I have been focused on the end result and I made a committment to stick it out.
After changing my theme and blog layout several times, I finally have one that I believe LOOKS nice and clean. I just wanted something simple. I am still working on it and I know I will end up changing it again in the future, but right now I am happy with it.
I decided to start a personal blog ( Mom. Wife. Repeat. www.momwiferepeat.com ) where I would share anything relevant to being a mother, a wife, and to spread a little humor. I am naturally sarcastic, so it will show from time to time in my writing.
In the next 3 months, I plan on having some sort of income no matter how big or small. I understand I will not be generating 6 figures in 3 months, however I plan on making at least UP TO $300-$500 a month by then. May be a little far fetched, but I am going to try.
After 6 months of having everything up and running I plan on another $200-$300 in addition to my 3 month goal. Again, may be setting it a bit high, but crazier things have happened. I am a stay at home mom, and while it is a VERY busy and demanding position, I still have the flexibility to work on my website as much as I really want.
I am getting excited, but not too much as I don't like to be disappointed. I am trying to go with the flow and do what I can and keep my fingers crossed that it will pay off. I am doing this for my family, so I can be what they need me to be at home. I believe it is very beneficial to a family when the mother/wife can be home (NOT JUST IN THE KITCHEN...I can get just as dirty as my husband does working on things haha).

Just visited your website. You're right, it is nice and clean with some nice illustrations. A couple of suggestions... categorize your posts... makes them seem like you put more thought in them. Also, get your kids' photos up there and your photo with your husband...the one you're using here is a good one. I have some other thoughts, but those are enough to start.

Agree with Richie, you have done much more than me in your short time here. It does help that you have the time to work on your site. Its great to see you using that time and building something for your future. Great goals, and as time goes on you can adjust them to meet your real expectations. Great job.
