Exam's Finished - Third Year of University Complete!
As another academic year goes by, it is easier to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But something is different about finishing this year, knowing that I only have a few years left in this stage of my life has changed some of my past perspectives.
As much as I used to dread waking up early for class and late-night study sessions, I find myself enjoying my studies more and wanting to spend more time educating myself. I'm not sure if this is because I have found a program I fully enjoy or if it's simply a part of growing but either way I will continue to push myself to strive for more. When learning stops, growing stops – to me it is important to continue to evolve and gain new understandings & perspectives.
Time Management Importance
Now that the semester and routine is finished with, it is up to me to get myself back on track with my own productive and efficient routine. Although it took a few weeks to come to terms with the world and find the drive to continue - it only matters that we take the time we need and continue at it another day.
Here are my best tips & tricks to getting back on track after taking a break or hitting a bump in the road!
Waking up early & going to bed early - this simple routine change has helped healthy habits bloom left and right. I force myself to move to the bedroom around 10:00pm with the intentions to wind down and relax - I'm sleep before 11:00pm almost every night and up by 8:00am in the morning. Just enough to feel I am enjoying the whole day while still getting plenty of sleep!
Eating the proper brain food - we all know that food influences the way our bodies function, but it also affects our brain function. Eating balanced and healthy meals - the majority of the time - will increase productivity, mood and effectiveness!
Coffee of course! - BUT double up the water! Coffee will give you that extra boost and also drain that extra water from your system causing dehydration. Be sure to replenish double the amount of coffee you drink with water! Preventing dehydration is preventing fatigue.
Continue to LEARN – find a YouTube channel, new online course that interests you or a new book/audio book to read/listen to. Learning new information increases brain function, activity and effectiveness! Never stop learning!
Daily schedules - having patterns during the day help increase your productivity around your home during this difficult time. Maybe you start your morning with coffee and watering plants or going for a run to wake up. Either way installing habits will increase your productivity and function! Make time to take breaks and work hard, balance is important.
Before you know it, you will be a working machine. Coming out of quarantine better than ever before!

Congratulations on finishing your third year of school. It definitely takes discipline to do that. If you're enjoying it, it sounds like you're on a great path by choosing to start a business because the best entrepreneurs are life long learners.
You may also have found an area that you're really interested in studying which is great.
It sounds like you've started on some very good habits (creating a morning and bedtime routine). Those routines will benefit you far beyond school.
You're a great writer! Best wishes with your school and all of your other endeavors.
You're so kind! It is always great to stay in touch with WA members and keep each other motivated, so thank you.
I am definitely trying to build efficient habits while I am young to benefit my future and I love learning new things to try! Keeping in tune with WA always helps me stay on track as well, I hope to be as successful as you on here one day!
Thank you for such a great comment, stay safe & healthy!
All the best,

Wow. Thanks. I think my success is only a drop in the bucket compared to what you can do. Keep going like you're going, apply as much as you can, and you'll see lots of growth: probably much more than I've posted here.

Congratulations, Nikki. Well done, looks like you are doing many things in additions to studies.
Thank you! I always try to keep everything moving forward! Just because summer is here doesn't mean the learning ends, even during the semester I like to keep up with everything interesting to me. A great way to stay on your toes and keep an open mind!
