Google WebMaster Verified but.Unverified at the same time? Help?

Hope you all are having a great time! As usual, I try to work around my family's timing =D
Ok, I've a challenge: I've followed Kyle's training to verify property in Google Webmaster and putting the alternative code into All-In-SEO (not my first time, done it many times before)...
...but what's throwing me off course for a new site is that when I saw the message in google webmaster that says:
Part of the process of setting a preferred domain is to verify that you own the website. Please verify.
>>> Weirdly, it shows that my site ISN'T verified on this page, though on the verify page it indicates it's verified. Weird. What should I do?

Google wants to know that you own both the www version and the non-www version of your website before you can choose your preferred domain. Just click on the Verify button and it will accept that you own the website. Then you can choose the www or the non-www version as you prefer.
Thanks for this Marion - for all my WP sites on WA, I never do this, as all don't have the www, this is the first time that happened
Actually do you know how can it be on our WP sites to have www? I think it seems nicer/more proper to have the www in front =D
In my opinion it's a little old fashioned to have http:// and www in front of the domain name. There's no need to type those into your browser now so I prefer to use just the domain name. Less typing for your readers. Just my 2 cents.
you know what, that's actually very true...must be the old soul in me... =D
I'll stick to no www instead, less work for me too hahahah!
