Made my first sale
I forgot to share a success story that happened back on February 7th, 2021.
I've been treating this as a full-time job because I am unemployed and really need to make this work.
At that point last month, I hadn't even made it to 2 full months here in WA and I made my first sale!
I guess the reason I didn't celebrate as I should have is that I was so massively disappointed with the commission. I sold a $26 bottle of probiotics for Amazon and I got .26 CENTS.
I was too shocked to celebrate lol.
But I learned from my mistake and that's also important! I have since then removed all of my Amazon affiliate links because the department I sell products in only gets 1% commission. I have replaced them with one that pays a higher commission, but still only 4%. That was a lot of work! I will continue to find better companies to work with. I just want to make sure that they are reliable for the readers and customers.
I am so grateful, however, now that I know I'm doing something right and I've worked hard on changing things around so that all my hard work actually pays off.
So, yay!! I made my first sale! I made 26 cents with my blog! lol :D
It feels good to know that something I am pouring myself into is going to generate money and I am capable of supporting myself. I just have to keep going.

That's remarkable and a real testament to what can be achieved once we dedicate the time and energy.
Congratulations more commissions are definitely on the way!

Congratulations on your first sale. Your post content is working. And its only your second month in WA. Really great news.
One of the tradeoffs by being an affiliate marketer and not having to spend time handling the product or billing and returns is that the commission is lower than selling your own products. But the benefits of doing affiliate marketing are tremendous. Once you get a sizeable amount of traffic you will find the commission amount grows and you will be glad you are doing affiliate marketing.
Have you been using the WA .Affiliate Program Data Base.?

Nicole, that is so awesome & I am super happy for you! Yes, the commission for that particular sale kinda sucks, but at least you know that you've mastered the art of the process & if you can connect somebody with a product that pays a $0.26 commission you can absolutely connect somebody with a product that pays $26, $260... And so on. Amazing stuff Nicole :)
Thanks, Dale!
That's the important part. Knowing that I can do this and there will be more to come :)
