Are You Seeing Things From the Valley or From the Peak?

Meaning of the Quote:

When you have accomplished very little in life, this is equivalent to being in the valley and from that position only great things you are dreaming about that can be possible in your life. However, when you have accomplished so many great things in your life, this is equal to being at the peak. So from that position, there is very little more for you to achieve in life. You are thinking about how to maintain that position so that you do not end up back in the valley.

Discussion of the Quote:

When you are down in the valley, the only place you want to be is at the peak. Therefore, you can see all the great possibilities simply because you have not accomplished much in your life yet. So the possibilities for your life are endless. You dream of all that could be possible for you to achieve.

However, when you are at the peak, you have achieved so much in life that you now wonder what else is possible to achieve on a grand scale. So you can now see only small things because there is very little left for you to achieve. You have reached an accomplished position in your life so you are busy wondering how to maintain your peak position so that you do not fall back down in the valley.

Final Thoughts:

Peaks and valleys are representatives of our high and low periods in your lives. However, you have to be aware of the changeability of your life and look forward to climbing out of your valley to your peak in life. It all has to do with your perspective and how you see yourself whether you be in the valley or at the peak moment in your life.

More importantly, it takes courage and great determination to climb from the valley to the peak. You are able to see great things from the valley because you are gazing up at the peak with hope and determination that one day you will reach the peak. The question is: What will you do when you get to the peak? You will have to figure out how to stay at the peak so that you do not end up back down in the valley. Or, as the quote said, you only see small things from the peak.
