A Week of Celebration and AI Reflection

A week ago today, I celebrated my 66th birthday - a lovely day spent with family, followed by an impromptu holiday.

It’s been a fabulous week of relaxation, soaking up the summer sun and enjoying long walks on the beach. But more than that, it’s been a week of reflection.

Each year, I like to set myself a personal challenge. This year, I’ve taken up Tai Chi.
Despite how gentle the movements look, I’ve discovered muscles I didn’t even know existed! 😄

But I’ve also been reflecting on my business.

With AI evolving so rapidly, I found myself wondering whether parts of my business model were heading for the "soon to be obsolete" pile.

So I did what I often do when I feel uncertain — I had a long, honest conversation with ChatGPT. We talked through my business, my vision, and the future I see for entrepreneurship.

And what I found was unexpected.

Instead of feeling discouraged, I came away inspired.

Over the past 19 months, I’ve been quietly shifting my business - moving from courses to memberships, from content-heavy lessons to personalised, story-driven support.

Without consciously planning it, I’ve been evolving into what we now call a "Brand You" business - a model built not just on knowledge, but on lived experience and connection.

During our conversation, ChatGPT said something that stuck with me:

“AI can’t replace your experience.
It can’t replicate the relationships you build.
And it can’t replace 49 years of insight you’ve earned through living it.”

That’s when I realised - I haven’t just learnt finance, entrepreneurship, or coaching.
I’ve lived them:

• 49 years in the finance industry
• 35 years as an entrepreneur
• 25 years as a coach and mentor

And it turns out, that lived experience is my superpower.

So today, I’m back to work. Refreshed. Motivated. And genuinely excited about the future of my business - not despite AI, but because of it.

AI isn’t here to replace me.
It’s here to work alongside me - amplifying my impact, not erasing it.
