How effective is YOUR planning? Is it TIME to change TACTICS to make progress?
Ever had an overwhelming week?
Do you find yourself saying?
- "phew, I don't want to ever go through that again?"
- "That was stressful!"
You're NOT alone
So, how do you go about making it less stressful but still productive?
Neverending training and information
Every day we read blogs upon blogs
We do training and watched countless videos
Depending on what our direction is, we may do Youtube, Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram training.
Oh, Wow!
Planning outcome vs Planning daily
I used to plan weekly, taking it daily, but recently I reverted to doing what I learned in my teacher training. plan regarding what I hope to achieve for that week
This is an example of what I learned in my teacher training
At the end of this week, I will
- complete level 4
- watch Jay's training
- write 3 posts and publish to my website
- do some Facebook training
I find it is easier to do overall planning, and then I can assign to a specific day to do particular things.
e.g.
Monday -
Complete level 4 of the training
- Watch the training video
- Do the task assign for that lesson
Tuesday
- Watch Jay's training
- Do article research
Wednesday
- Website maintenance
I started to find that I am not overwhelmed at the end of the day
AND
I still get to participate on the platform, my family activities, not excluding watching my favourite television shows (does provide my outlet)
If you fail to plan...
I'm sure you all know this famous saying.
If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail
There's a also a story about a teacher in the classroom teaching and watching the students constantly looking at the clock
These are her words
"The time will pass...but will you?"
Please don't let the time pass us by because we failed to plan for our success.
Taking Action
I know the training and our daily life with work, family and other social addition can be too much at times.
BUT
Please try to take action on at least ONE thing weekly. It will surely pay off in the long run
Until next time,
Simone
Lastly...

Simone I agree, planning is critical.
I try planning, but it doesn't always work out.
Sometime I have to leave a plan on my board uncheck,
because something else came up.
I'm learning to leave a space open for other unforeseen projects that comes up.
If I don't have anything in that slot, I simply try to get some "me time" in.
Thanks for the planning reminder.
Melanie
Melanie, sometimes, it is like that
Unexpected circumstances takes over
Glad you are now planning that empty slot
We all need some me time:)
Thank you for stopping by
I have changed tactics quite a bit in the few months I have been doing this. Learned so much- that is the main source, becoming more informed and knowledgeable precipitated that truth. we have to adapt and adjust continuously, not necessarily drastic changes, to succeed in this entrepreneurial journey.
Currently coping as an online entrepreneur - hoping to get to a degree of proficiency and mastery 😊
Chris, thank you for your response
Likewise, I have been changing as well for the same reasons to facilitate my expanding knowledge.
Thank you stopping by. Hoping to hear from you on my next blog :)

So, Simone. This is yet another of your 'totally en pointe' posts. To begin with, your post that I am reading for the first time today was posted 12 days ago. Yup, that's right sitting there in my email inbox for 12 days... Hhmm...
I am going to blame two elephants that are in the room. The first is a priority on my calendar that I have given to the driving school. Being just one of only two instructors that the driving school has available these post-CoViD15 days, and the backlog of students is unprecedented, I've been working double the hours I normally would expect, and double the number of days each week than normal. The second elephant is the marketing activities for the book I published and released in December, and since January have been learning how to promote using Amazon and social media.
My goal, even though the driving school income will be impacted, is to 'get back to normal' by the end of this coming month when I have a 10-day vacation planned. My second goal is to lessen the time I need to spend on promoting/marketing the book (which you can check out my Facebook group page 'Evans Bible Study Companions' for info on the book).
June will see my 12 month anniversary with Wealthy Affiliate and, if you check my profile, you'll see that my one active website is not related to the book...
So clearly, my problems when it comes to planning (strategy) and implementing my plans (tactics) are taking on too much and allowing other events to become dominant; in other words trying to serve too many masters rather than just one. However, it's clear from your post and many of the responses you've received that I AM NOT ALONE... So to that I say:
God bless us all for trying to change our lives for the better...
Hi Ron,
It is lovely to hear from you. No you're not alone but recognising and taking action is definitely a step in the right direction.
Keep safe and keep the momentum going
