Procrastination, the concrete shoes of doom.

I've been interested in launching a profitable online business for years, but have made excuses and procrastinated, bought e-books and programs but never finished them. Started copywriting course via AWAI about 2 years ago. Slow going. I'll work on it a bit and then lose steam.

Like a toddler pushing food around on a plate, I play with writing here or there. Until life becomes too much. I'm overwhelmed. So I quit. Again. And I hide the peas under the mashed potatoes.

I don't want to keep dragging my feet through mid-life with my head down until I finally look up years from now and discover I'm STILL fat, sick, and broke. STILL so afraid of failing that I never try. Maybe it's time to give it my worst until I can give it my best. Make mistakes and be imperfect and just DO the thing, already!

Please help me stop stalling and start doing. Please encourage me but also call me on my excuses. I won't like the pushing, but I need it.

Concrete shoes are heavy, y'all. Got a hammer?

Latricia, I think we are best partners, lol. I started at WA 2013 and after my first month premium membership I did not renew it mainly because I don't have the penny. But I was not able to do what should be done so my site went nowhere.

Now I'm back and a little bit diligent in putting content to my site. I had this morning a visitor and I am so happy about it. My site is going somewhere.

Let's journey together as a community and hope we can go higher, deeper, wider and fruitful.

Thank you for the encouragement! Best wishes for your successful online business in 2017! :)

Ok Sister Latricia, Let me tell you what I read from your post here, you tell me if I'm wrong.

How can I best explain this? When matters are going well in my life I have a tendency to get slack towards working on the things that will keep things going well. You understand what I'm talking about, do you?

When life decides to kick my butt at times, it's only then that I jump up and start working on what I need to do to take me there, but then things get back well again and we know what happens we are happy.

I've been up and down on this roller coaster ride for too long to get off, so I told myself on the next uphill climb, I'm getting out and I'm pushing my little busted up cart up that steep hill, I'm not going to stop until reach the top.

As I climb and push my way to the top with my little rusty cart, I feel it start to get easier to manage, the weight of the cart and the way it rolls across the tracks making it a smooth ride for the riders I slow down long enough for to jump on. I gotta keep the pressure going, can't stop now I'm just discovering my style. We got no time to act like a child.

Now Latricia, do yourself a favor, eat your peas and potatoes you're gonna need your strength for this kind of labor. Just keeping it real, you know, putting it all on the table.

Now show me you're able, stable, and savable.

God bless
LeNard

Haha, LeNard! Thanks for much for the pep talk. Much appreciated! :)

:)

I'm laughing over here because we were both writing blogs on Procrastination at the same moment. Mine posted a little after yours, but I had not seen this until I hit the Publish button. Good to see I'm not the only one with a procrastination problem. You can do this, just take it one baby step at a time and you'll get to where you want to be.

Hitting "publish" was terrifying! Your post about emails is right on!
Thanks for the warm welcome. :)
