Can one make money affiliate marketing with ideas, concepts, and intangibles?
I have been somewhat discouraged lately, because I can't find any suitable affiliate marketing companies or networks servicing my niche. Most of the products are open-source software, and are free. Others, have little to no commission yield for sales or referrals. It has really caused me to stifle my efforts, and spin my wheels on creating new content.
Up until now, I have been thinking that since I don't have a tangible product(s) to promote, How am I going to write content that will have the effect of driving my readers to make a purchase at a vendor's site.
My niche represents a paradigm shift in the national and international ecosystem. It is more about an economic idea whose time has come, and my desire to evangelize and recruit the masses into acceptance and participation. I am considering seeking tips or donations from those visiting my site, interested in helping fund my educational efforts through the blog.
Primarily my blogging activities accomplish an educating and training function. I suppose I am offering an educational "service", to the masses of the uninformed public.Nevertheless, I can't see myself just writing blogs, and never really have the opportunity to make money.
Of course, if I and others involved in my crusade are successful in awakening the masses, the financial rewards will follow. This will be a result of the increased price and value of my current investments in this this monetary system. In addition, the prospects of continuously developing applications using the technological protocols, will hopefully inspire more affiliate marketing organizations and programs within my niche.
My good friend at WA, Pastor Tae has written a great series that is beginning to give me renewed hope that I can still pursue my economic goals with the WA opportunity. You may want to check out this series, entitled "Promoting Intangibles".

Vitality, thanks for asking. I am promoting the Bitcoin/ Cryptocurrency niche. The emphasis can be on how to earn money in a personal bitcoin economy, but I also am trying to emphasize an educational message in my blog to foster more awareness and participation from the general public.
Approximately 65 percent of Americans don't even know what bitcoin is. http://cointelegraph.com/news/113406/coin-center-study-65-of-americans-dont-know-what-bitcoin-is
Well you could give away or sell your own e-book on how to invest in bitcoin. Then you could take it further and put that product on up on places like clickbank and have like minded affiliates promote that for you. Just a thought.
I've never really considered myself an author, but, I can't say I would completely dismiss the idea. I wonder what the best resources for "how to write an e-book are"? Do you have any recommendations?
David, the following link is the simple training I used to write my ebooks.

hey....that's me.....I'm so glad I was able to help someone. This was more of a personal struggle but I'm confirmed that this is now a collective challenge that we can embrace and make successful here at WA. This is great, David. I am looking forward to seeing how you will move forward with this in your own niche. We can learn from each other
Awesome, I actually already read his blog post "Promoting Intangibles", but definitely sounds like a great thing to do. Don't worry because in no time, you will definitely be able to find your very own niche and reach your success here at WA. Monetizing the info that you give consumers would definitely be a great idea if you provide very valuable and 1 on 1 based exclusive info. Asking for donations is also a great idea as well :) You could always initiate a kickstarter, I heard those have had much success in terms of donations. :) Good luck.
Have you tried Clickbank? It provides links for online goods such as ebooks, which could have similar information to what you are promoting to your viewers. If you have tried everything under the sun, there are sites out there that will pay per click, such as Google AdSense, or a marketplace to bid for spots on your website, such as Project Wonderful. It won't make you millions, but it could be a good place to start to pick up some earning for a bit. I wish you the best!
Thanks for the reminder to look into Click Bank. I was actually very excited about it at the start of the year and even attend some of their webinars. But after reading various discussions here at WA, I have mixed feelings about it. Still thinking about it. Thanks
Hi Matthew, yes, I have a clickbank account. I just opened one up. I need to set aside some time to find out which products would fit my niche.
And David, read the discussion found here at WA about it. There are a lot of mixed feelings about it and I am a bit hesitant to go into it although I created an account. I haven't ruled it out
Let me know if and when you do, Pastor Tae. I would be interested in your methodology and results. I have recently considered exploring the Clickbank option, and PPC options more thoroughly.

Hello David, I will echo the question from VitalyG, You have to be more specific about your niche in order to get feedback. Good luck,
