I'm back.

I'm back after a little break. Brother and family were home, holiday stuff you know. Trip to the lake to see the cabin, fishing off the dock because it was too windy to put the boat in. Also did some fishing down at the river by the dam, to catch some dam fish.

I also took some time to reconsider my niche. I'm looking at finding a niche somewhere within music. I was thinking I was going to give up music altogether to focus on building my online business. I found out that I can't do that. Music is a part of me and It will be a part of my business.

I've played many gigs over the years, I've done live sound engineering. I've played full gigs as a guitarist, keyboards and bass. I've been writing and recording songs since 1986. In 2012, I released a Dark Ambient Electronic 4 song EP called Space Songs successfully achieving sales through Emusic, Rumblefish, MySpace, Deezer, Spotify and CD Baby.

I also compose instrumental rock music as well as some rootsy vocal tunes. I will be releasing some new music in the future. I'm thinking I'll start off by writing reviews of some of the gear (hardware and software) I've used over the years to create my music. Somewhere within that a niche will surface and I will begin to narrow my focus.

Wow, you are sitting in the CATBIRD seat.! Your head is STUFFED with music knowledge. You can write great content with no problem. Just do exactly what Carson says, and by this time next year, you will have a whole different lifestyle! No doubt about it!

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement uakoko.

Hey Great to have you back at WA! When choosing your niche it's great to go with something that you are familiar with and you're certainly in the "know" within the Music industry. Start out being highly specific. Hardware & Software is too broad, choose one of the other, and then refine even further. Be specific to what kind of music hardware or software. That will enable you to really target your audience and provide them with ultra relevant content!

Wow that was a quick reply Carson, and thanks for the advise on being specific.

You're welcome, really good to have you back at WA :)
