Pay Attention Or Not?

Last Update: April 24, 2018

Hi everybody. I wonder if I need to pay attention to the service terms as you see above. I guess that you know that Yahoo was bought by Verizon. It means that email accounts go under wing of Verizon too. They gave the name Oath for previous Yahoo service and sent information how they would treat you regarding your email accounts.

It seems that they will have authority over all information which is in yours correspondence. I guess that not everybody has Google accounts. If you have, how you can know that your information which you send somebody will be seen just by opposite side. I understand that nowadays you cannot be protected 100 percent but in this email from Verizon they openly tell about their intentions.

The old saying that "nothing comes for free" is true.

I found perfect email service from mailfence.com. It is encrypted and free.

It would be nice to hear your opinion regarding information safety.

All the best, Nemira.

These guys and girls are from Belgium. I guess that they were fed up with constant privacy interruption. It is a real thing. You can read about them on their website. Cheers:)

I saw the same disclaimer Nemira. It sounds bad! I have used Yahoo for many, many years (20?) and cannot imagine losing all my emails there however! I am curious what others have to say here.

Thank you for the comment. I thought that I did not understand correctly. It is disrespectful and shameful practice. From another side, not so many people care about their privacy. Besides Yahoo, I have Hotmail and Google accounts. Maybe it is time to move essential emails to the mentioned above: mailfence.com
