2,446 Views in My Site During My First 24 Hours!!!

Hi Everyone! I wanted to share that yesterday I finally made an official "launch" of my site http://draw-people.com, and had in 24 hours a total of 2,446 views!! I'm really excited, and the reason there were so many views is that there has been tons of traffic coming from Instagram and then Facebook. I attached an image for all of you to see the views and which parts of my site most people were drawnt to.

I am an artist, and have had already traffic in another site where I have my portfolio, through some videos I've made for YouTube, and also a Fanpage in Facebook where I update quite regularly the process of any new painting or drawing I'm working on.

So now my question is, considering I'm in Lesson 7 of the Second part of the training, what would you advise me to do now??? I still have not included any links to Amazon, or any kind of opt-in forms.

That's impressive but with around 5k followers combined on Facebook & Instagram, not entirely unexpected - especially since you're such a good artist. I've never had the patience to draw as realistically as you :)

I second (and third and fourth!) what Sandra says - you *need* to capture your visitors info. It takes 6-7 interactions before people usually buy from a website and a mailing list helps to do that. Lots of times

Those free tutorials you offer? Those are the magnet to get people to sign up to your mailing list. Offer maybe one on-site and then a sequence of 3 to 5 on the mailing list. I use and love GetResponse for a mailing list - it's not free but I like it way better than Mailchimp.

Going step by step is smart but in any business you need to be able to pivot to take advantage of opportunities. Think of adding a mailing list like doing some serious extra credit work!

Hi ArpL, and thank you very much for your reply! Your reply is the kind of direction and ideas I find so helpful because I'm still getting used to thinking that way.

I want to offer a free eBook where people can learn to draw a basic face from scratch as a gift for signing up to a mailing list. Then I actually was thinking of adding around 5 mini tutorials of things that won't be on the site.

I've heard about Aweber as well, what are your thoughts about all this. Thank you so much for your ideas and support!!!

Aweber & GetResponse are equivalent, it just comes down to personal preference. I like that GetResponse makes it easy to request a list to be 'single opt in', meaning that people don't have to receive an email to confirm they want to join a list. That makes things much easier for people to sign up.

An eBook would be great too.

Ohhh, I like that, it's much more straight through. Now you mention that people take around 6 to 7 interactions to buy from a website. Right now I'd be recommending a few books and materials from Amazon.

I have no idea how to go about it without being pushy with sales. And since there are a lot of products I'd recommend, I don't know which ones, how many to promote through the follow up emails. Sorry for bombarding you with questions haha, but this is where I feel kind of stuck right now.

There's no need to be pushy - just be genuinely helpful. For example, review drawing books on Amazon & be honest why you like/dislike them. Do the same with art supplies (I found a bunch of affiliate programs googling for 'art supply affiliate program' so you're not limited to Amazon).

The goal is to develop trust - and being pushy with sales won't do that.

Also, with mailing list signups, I'd skip the name field and just go with the email address to make it even quicker & easier to sign up.

btw, I've considered a site like yours, but for cartooning. Too bad my own drawing skills aren't all that :P

That is amazing! You really need to start capturing your visitor's info so you can continue to stay in touch with them, and get some amazon products on there! You've got the traffic, so now you need to convert it to $$$!

Hi, thank you for your reply. I haven't done any of that because is still not part of my lessons, and can't seem to access anything beyond this Second Part. I just want to make sure all is done properly and in order :)
