I agree with Kyle on this. It is probably the top social media platform at this time. You hear all over the news how it was created to get security information, but I feel like no matter the social media platform it all can be used in that manner. People just need to be smart with the information they put on any social media.

It is going to be tough for them to ban it, being a big part of so many people's lives in particular the younger generation. I think a ban would be a big political blunder, but further regulation over security is inevitable.

Time will tell!

In my opinion, it has some privacy leaks, but since I don't use it, whether it is banned or not, I'll just wait and see.

YouTube recently implement the use of Shorts - one minute videos, I'm told specifically to compete with TikTok. I don't know whether TikTok will be banned, but my personal feeling is that any social media platform could be gone at any time, for any number of reasons. I've been working online since 2015. My advice for everyone is to not put all your eggs in one basket. Don't spread yourself too thin by trying to consistently put your content on every social media platform. But do establish yourself on more than one in case anything happens. Debra
