I am currently reading the best selling book of Napoleon Hill: "Think and Grow Rich". The book was written in 1937 and was the fruit of 20 years' research done by Hill about the most successfull people on planet earth of that era. He met with people with the likes of Henry Ford, General Electric's founder Thomas Edison, etc. Huge research project done by him. But the book is after 80 years still just as relevant as it was then. I guess it is because the recepe for success is still the same one. One of the stories, in particular, grabbed me by the arm.

Edwin Barnes went to the gold fields to find himself riches. He staked a claim and start digging. After months he found it - a big, shining gold nugget! But unfortunately it was too big to dig out by hand. He needed machines to do the job. His uncle came to the rescue as a partner and with the needed funds for the machines. At first the gold start coming out of mother nature's belly but then it stopped. They have drilled desperately trying to pick up the vein again but with no success. So they QUIT!!!! They sold the machinery and claim to a "Junk Man" for an apple and an onion. They just want to get rid of every thing and try to find luck else where. But the Junk Man decided to call in a mining engineer to help him out. It turned out to be that Barnes has stopped digging three feet away from the big gold!!! If they didn't stopped digging for gold, they would have became very, very rich people. But the Junk Man became rich, because of Barnes and his uncle's failure.

How many times in your life did you stop 3 feet from gold? Shocking thought...

Haha oh god, that ending thought is messing with my head. I can only imagine the possibilities if I didn’t give up on some things.
.
Not happening here at WA though, I refuse to stop. I see the success in others and I know I can get the same results!

Great read. Have a great day!

Yes Read the book many times also.

It's one of those books you will ALWAYS need to have on your shelf, and will need to re read over and over.

What a STRONG Metaphor for the journey we have put ourselves on with this path of Online living.

Great Post and thanks for reminding and sharing.
