Black Friday research
Hi Guys,
I have been doing some Black Friday research I wanted to share with you.
I am located in the Netherlands and they say that a lot of companies are altering their prices right now in order to give bigger discounts on Black Friday. so they are adjusting the numbers. Isn't that fooling the consumer twice?
I believe that Black Friday works, for sure.
I am a big fan of discounts and sale.
But what I tend to see around me that the discounts only apply to products that are already overpriced anyway. Instead of you paying 800 dollars for something you now only pay 600 or even less. What does that tell you about the merchant? Is he really that generous? Or is he normally taking a much bigger cut of the price we pay? I think, it's something to think about.
In 2017 American shoppers spenta record $5 billion online in the space of 24 hours. US retailers generated $7.9 billion in online sales from both Thanksgiving and Black Friday in 2017, which was up 17.9% from the year before, according to research by Adobe Analytics.
In 2018 the total online sales are estimated to be $435.3 billion, according to finder.com
Opportunity
What I do like about Black Friday is that there is a Hype and a Big opportunity for us to make a big hit. The numbers of sales that have gone up in 2018 in Black Friday weekend, till Cyber Monday alone have been amazing. If you and I get just a crumb of that pie that is being sliced up in that CRAZY weekend we will all be happy.
Happy Consumers, because they pay lower prices.
Happy Sellers, because they sell more in one weekend then in a whole mont/ or even year.
Happy Affililate partners, because they get a commission for every sale that gets made through their link (or tracked link that has more then 24 hours).
Here is where it gets interesting.
If you get people to click your link before they start buying at Amazon or any other big sales platform, you'll be smiling the whole weekend long.
HERE IS MY STRATEGY
I'm signing up to Affiliate programs that are very HOT in the holiday SEASON.
And I will make attractive Pinterest posts and Blog posts on reviewing those products.
I also started a publisher website, where advertisers can come and promote their products.
I will be doing a social media campaign on Black Friday, sharing my new page.
Good luck in finding a good Black Friday strategy for you.
If you want you can share them with other readers in the comments.
Hope this inspired you.
