How to enter your own product with a buy it now button.

You will need the following:

1. Wordpress account
2. Paypal account
3. Image of your product

Please bare with me because this is my first blog on WA, but this is something I have been trying to figure out since I started this last month here.

Wordpress Website

The first thing I did was run a webpage for a sample on Wordpress. I just gave it a silly name like planitout, so I could see if it really worked with the Wordpress program. So have a site that you can play with and delete later if you need to. That is the good thing about WA, you can do that with this program.

PayPal Account

If you don't have a PayPal Account set one up. It's easy and they walk you through it. You can pick a business or individual account (that's up to you).

After you create your account go to the summary page and scroll down to the Selling Tools (in bold letter). Under that click on Seller Preferences. It will take you to a page where you can create a PayPal Button and create custom payment buttons for mywebsite. Click on "get started". The first drop-down you want to pick "Buy it Now".

Then list the Name of your item you which to sell and give it an Item ID (this can be used for inventory too). Enter you price and US currency.

You can pick Customize button if you want.

1) Add drop-down menu with price/option. (use for different sizes or colors available for different prices)

2) Add drop-down menu (for just different size without the price)

3) Add text field (I didn't use because I wanted to use my own on my website)

Then put in the shipping if you are going to charge for it and the amount of tax if you want.

If you have a business account you can track your inventory, profit, and loss (optional).

Then hit "Create A Button". It will go to a new page and give you a code for your link.

Select Code to highlight the link. Copy. Then go to your Webpress account an pull up the page you want it on. Make sure you are in the text tab for that page. Paste the link. Then when you go to the visual tab you will see the Buy It Now Button.

Images

You can add your own image above the buy it now button or pick from free images from google.

I read several blogs on the WA form for me to figure this out and it seem that I am not the only one who has had this problem. Hope this helps other out their. If so like this link.
