Media: Facebook fails to protect our private data
It has become a big issue in Europe. The question is asked: How did the private firm gained the access to user’s data?
Actually, it could be done very easy.
Now we know that Facebook did not do enough to protect our data.
But how much we don’t know, and most probably, we’ll never know.
Again, back to the issue of privacy and security.
Is there any possiblity to have a solution?
Human involvement in data security and privacy is not reliable. Data is a valuable product which can be sold MANY TIMES for good price.

This is a crazy topic. It would seem like we would be protected with a big company like them. But I gues no where is safe anymore.
Thank you for the feedback. As soon as we post our data on the net, we have no control over it. All these privacy and confidentiality agreements - just a formality.
Yep so very true and even we don't post anything, now days even if you go see the Dr. they will put it all in there for you. It is something that seems to unavoidable these days.
Yes, it's not generally safe , Facebook or not. Banks and telephone companies sell our information to each other. No one is actually protected once having given their personal data.
And as for Facebook and other social media, people are sometimes way too careless sharing details of their private life.Crazy.
Thank you for your valuable input. Yes, nothing is safe... and no guarantee that it will become safe soon. We have to be very smart to take care (as much as possible) of our personal data and don't share sensitive stuff with social platforms.

There is no question that cyber security has not kept up with the world wide growth in cyber crooks.
Mark Zuckerberg and Fb are in a real jam. Sure glad I'm not a Fb stockholder. Hopefully his cooperation with the US Congress will be a big step forward towards improved cyber security.
Thank you for the comments.
I think it is time to start implementing proper security measures... This is also addressed by EU and British parliament... let's hope it will lead to major improvements.
